Hi,

I was wondering if anyone here has experience with this flashcart/vendor. The price is right and it ships from the US delivering within a week, so it seems all is good there (as long as everything holds true, that is). What I'd like to know from someone who might have this cart and/or is experienced on the subject, is whether or not this cart will suck the life of my N3DSXL battery while not in use. I don't care about any extra features of any kind on the flashcart, just the most basic, obvious, ability to load .NDS files is all that I'm looking for (I can't care less about RealTimeSaves either).

Will this cart do the trick?

For your reference, I'm running, as mentioned, a N3DSXL with A9LH+Luma 7.0.5 and I'm on firmware 11.2.0-35U.

Also, will this work with TWLOADER, or will i need to use it's own loader (if that's even a thing?)

Cheers,

I haven't heard of that site personally, but the vast majority of people seem to recommend this card from this vendor:

http://nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=149

I've heard that this site is rather reliable and consistant, which is good. I haven't used it myself though.

They also sponsor GBATemp, iirc.

I believe R4i cards branded www.r4isdhc.com are the garbage time bomb cards or at least used to be. I would avoid this brand at all costs and look for the R4i Gold 3DS from www.r4ids.cn instead. You can get them from nds-card.com, GBAtemp's trusted sponsor, but it ships from China.
Thanks for your reply. I do see though that this "garbage" is also sold on the website that you mentioned to me, so I'm not sure what to make out of it. If the website is "trusted sponsor", why would it sell "garbage"? I'm also not getting the whole time-bomb thing especially when changing the date removes it. Either way, the one that I linked does not show any date on it (as you can see as well I'm sure) nor anyone complained about "time explosions" in the reviews so I don't know why it should be assumed it will timebomb.

Because they are a flashcard dealer, so they stock the different flashcards, even the timebomb ones. They're trusted because they are an actual dealer, and aren't scamming people by sending them fakes or just not sending them anything at all. I think they do replacements too if the shipment is lost or seized. It's a timebomb because they are coded to brick after a specified amount of time, even if you change the date. It doesn't show a date because it's showing a stock image. Most of those reviews are either fake or posted shortly after it was received, so they hadn't experienced it yet.

Either of these two will work the best as far as R4 cards go:
http://nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=149 - R4i GOLD 3DS RTS
http://nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=146 - R4i-SDHC 3DS RTS

For a USA seller:
http://3ds-flashcard.com/home/23-wood-r4i-gold-3ds.html
http://3ds-flashcard.com/home/8-r4i-sdhc-3ds-rts-2013.html

Those are the two best R4 cards you can get, both do pretty much the same thing.
