Don't really understand. When we are talking about PS3 then your only way is the mentioned Cobra. This needs to be installed in your PS3 with a bit soldering involved... Then you can Play Backups from an external HDD. XBox is a different thing you would be looking for an RGH then.

No, you can't. You can hack your PS3 only with 3.41 and 3.55. So you are better off with ODE cobra.
