Hi guys.

I was asking myself a simple question, I looked for Gbatemp but I did not find anything.

My English is not very good (sorry) so I may not be looking with the right terms.

Anyway, is there a way to force the activation of stereoscopic 3D on games that do not activate it natively? Is it possible or not? Is it just a power story? Or is there something else?

Whatever the answer I will like to know details of "why of how".

Again excuse me for my rotten English.

Have a Nice Day !!

3D consists of two separate pictures perceived as one. They are almost the same, but not exactly - slight differences in perspective to create the three dimensional look.
In other words, if the game doesn't do this, you can't force it to. There's no such thing as a 2D>3D feature like in 3D TV's, but that doesn't really work anyway.

On a lot of games, it may come down to performance. Good examples may be Dragon Quest VIII or Dragon Ball Fusions. Others that lack 3D seem like the dev was just too lazy to be bothered to utilize the feature. It would take a lot of work to make those 2D games 3D. Even then, it may not turn out right or make the game laggy af.

If it's not been coded to display as 3d there's no way to force it to.
If it has been coded to display as 3d then (AFAIK) it will always show as 3d (3d slider setting > On).
Explain Pokemon X/Y then.

Some scenes are in 3D, others are not, and the game/system has no trouble switching between them when required:

yes, 3d consists of two pictures. if u close one of ur eyes, and see it will look slightly different if u close the other eye. the image is off shifted. this is how 3d works.

Easy. Pokemon X/Y (and the Pokemon games after them) were programmed to be in both 2D and 3D.

That doesn't mean you can force 3D in Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow, though.

ffs... how to explain this... if you take a 2d picture with your phone, how would you go about turning it into a 3d picture? Answer; with great difficulty.
Same with the 3d in 3ds games (regardless of whether certain scenes are in 3d and others are in 2d). The 2d scenes were coded to be in 2d, or else they would run in 3d - I mean, why bother to code left and right stereoscopic graphics if they're only ever going to display as 2d? If they are coded as 3d, but for some bizarre reason only view as 2d, then yes, forcing them to 3d may be possible.
Now prove to me that the 2d scenes in the games you mention are indeed fully coded in 3d, and not just the certain scenes that do play as 3d.
