Super Luigi Maker for 3DS

SuperLuigiMaker.png

A project that turns Super Mario Maker 3DS into...Super Luigi Maker 3DS!

This works with Luma's LayeredFS just fine

SD/Luma/titles/TITLEID here/romfs for example SD/Luma/titles/00040000001a0500/romfs is for the eur version just place the files into the romfs directory also rename the models folder to model then everything should load just fine!

But as it is I feel like it's suitable for release please note this isn't finished yet

Now with bottom screen!!!!

Also if someone can find the Mario that is used in the 100 man Mario challenge mode that would be great.

Here's a few videos of it in action

In order to use this you must dump the game and then place the files into the correct folder the RAR is already correct then you must rebuild the CIA and there you go if you need a tutorial on how to do that just use google the first result is the one you want.

This is stop people assuming @Traiver has just uploaded this without permission hell I asked him to upload it to that ISO site.

Before I get told Mario 1 Luigi is wrong it's not

Yay! Thank you for this godsend. I will try it out when I have the chance. Any plans for updates?
Also, I feel as if this is relevant, so I'll leave it here.

Not really if I do update this in the future I'll update the download and bump the thread.

This has Luigi SFX, right? Also, IDK what the titleID is for the US version.

Oh yeah, do I rename the textures folder to texture or leave it as is?

Leave as and I couldn't change the SFX

2: probably not just rename models to model

EDIT partially ninja'd

About the NSMBU model, are there any .szs files or anything in the games files? If the 3D model types are common file types we could easily replace the models.

Someone tried changing the model by swapping a shrunken down Luigi model from NSMBU over the one from SMM but all the animations broke sadly and at the moment I don't think it's possible to change that stuff.

You can probably recreate the animations, I don't know what format they're in but Every File Explorer supports skeleton animations, if you can export the animations alone, and shrink it to fit the bone structure of the 3ds Mario, it could work. This is mostly guessing because I don't have a dump of the game.

the models that Super Mario Maker uses are in a szs format.

Stuff like that is seriously out of my scope I haven't got a clue when it comes to model based stuff.
Maybe ask someone else?

Just tried the mod out. You have some great stuff here! If it ever gets updates (SFX, NSMBU Luigi, etc.), I will gladly download them.

how do you edit moving things like enemy and sprites and flag?
all I have figured out is ground and tiles
