While I was in the process of installing a9lh and Luma CFW on my 3ds everything went according to plan, however, when using the Luma Updater to update luma to update to the latest version it was updated to Luma version 7.0.1 dev version. Is there any way to get the stable version.

Just download the latest "arm9loaderhax.bin" in "Luma3DSv7.0.1.7z" from luma's page and replace the old one with it on SD root and in CTR NAND in sysNAND with FBI and delete the "config.bin" files in "SD:\luma\" and in "CTR NAND\rw\luma\" in sysNAND, start up 3ds with and without the SD card to configure luma, and delete "arm9loaderhax.bin.bak" if you have it on the root of your SD.

No there are not 2 options. In the updater the only option is to install normal version and that installs the dev version.
