Homebrew (Noob Thread) 11.3 Homebrew applications freezing

I'm on 11.3 followed the guide, got homebrew working on this device and my lil sisters 11.2, however I can't seem to get applications to run without a red screen or freeze "on the 11.2 applications run".. tried messing with the boot.3dsx for a bit, but that doesnt seem to be the problem "sd card seems to work and in fat32, Nintendo 3ds folder is there" .. now i'm kinda in brain freeze and spacing out...

Edit: Solution Found: To get Homebrew to work, Download 11.2.0-35U Payload and Rename it to 11.3.0-35U , Then go into hblauncherloader folder and place it over the 11.3 one, and do the same with the another copy of the 11.2 payload and rename it otherapp and place it on the root of the SD Card, After this everything works

Note this is the New 3ds, not the old and not 11.4 .. not sure how they missed this problem

First off, boot.3dsx is used to load Homebrew Launcher. Second, is the problem that when you open an application, it just freezes on a red screen?

correct, all of them have a red bottom screen and top glitched screen--black and white lines , yet i can get into homebrew just fine

Usually when that happens to me, I just reset my 3DS and try again until it opens. Can we get a screenshot of your SD card root?

update, its freezing, getting yellow screen or into a program and frozen , downloaded again = no good , copied content and moved to another 3ds = no good ,... tested all this with sisters 11.2 = everything works

I've been experiencing the exact same problem and was wondering if this issue ever got resolved? Started happening when I updated Ninjhax to version 11.4 on my N3DS XL. Homebrew loader boots, but turns into gobbledygook and a red screen when I try and open an application. I managed to get a picture of the debug screen that pops up real quick before it all hits the fan. But I don't know if that'd help resolve anything.

I'm pretty sure most things with 11.4 are f-cked and only below 11.3 is safe.. "sell your 11.4 to buy a 11.2/3 or buy a sky3dz+ while you wait".but it could be related

Since I'm not getting any replies for a problem, should i continue to the SafeCTRTransfer stage? maybe only 11.2 allows apps to run before that stage

You did say, you followed the guide, but what do you mean with continue with SafeCTRTransfer

The guide is three parts ;Homebrew/Soundhax, SafeCTRTransfer, then Arm9loaderhax to finish
on my 11.2, homebrew would work after Soundhax was installed & complete, however on 11.3 the homebrew applications freeze
I am wondering atm if i should keep going or that i need to reinstall soundhax until those applications don't freeze then after that keep going

Reinstalling could be worth a try,

but dude, GBAtemp is the worst choice when asking question like these, go to the 3dshacking subreddit's Q&A thread and ask your question there, honestly

You should hold "X" while launching HomeBrew and make sure you're connected to the internet. Then re-download the boot.3dsx from the starter kit and try again.

that did nothing, tried again and its on a yellow screen .. what does that mean

Could just be a failed start... Red is normally a freeze, yellow is normally "fail to read payload". Check the integrity of your SD card, delete all HomeBrew files, redownload them and replace them. Then try again. The HomeBrew launcher (specifically with Soundhax) works just fine in 11.3 so it's 100% either your file placement, corrupted files, or a bad SD card.

Sd card is fine but thanks for the help. Seems you do have to continue with all the steps to get homebrew like mgba etc to work for 11.3 "however 11.2 will let you use mbga"... so if you can get into the homebrew itself everything is working fine.
