Sorry for the extremely noobish question. I managed to get Luma3DS running a few months back and all is well. My 3DS wants to update now though and I lost online functionality in Pokemon Sun/Moon. Is it possible to update my firmware and still keep Luma3DS and not lose my CIAs? If it can be done, what is the process? Just update normally, or do I do it in a specific way?

Ok, look at the top when you create a 3DS thread. It was the following:
"It is safe to update your system if you update from the system settings after installing A9LH and through a good CFW (like Luma3DS)."
Just create a NAND backup just incase.

Why is this even being asked still??
You can find your answer with a damn Google search.
It's not rocket science.
If Google is too hard for you to use, use Bing.

no
It was called sarcasm.
If people know they are going to ask a "noobish" question, they should know how to search for it before asking.
The question the OP asked, is easily answered by a Google search.

I know, but just seeing that phrase kills me a bit on the inside.
