As I looked in the site,I found that if you update to 11.2 for example from I lower firmware then you need an alternative method to launch the home brew launcher. Can anyone help me with that?thanks

So.all that I need is to update to 9.x and then use the alternative or basic method to launch the home brew launcher?

Find a cartridge that can get you to an exploitable firmware, an 11.2 one would be best.

Some cartridges have system updates on them, but be careful to get one with a full browser, not a dummy browser.
There are lists online about what game has what update.

Yes soundhax/fasthax/safehax works on 9.0 to 11.2

From there you'll be downgrading to 2.1 - getting the otp - installing a9lh - restoring to 9.0-11.2 - updating to 11.3

Alternatively if you have cubic ninja - you could get otp on 2.2 - update to 9.2-11.2 - install a9lh - update to 11.3

Look here https://3ds.guide/get-started-(old-3ds) it says that soundhax will not work if you cart update to a higher fw and that you need an alternative method to launch the homebrew launcher

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
