That was my bad lol I spaced out when I said mod then I was like wait haha

I can get into retroarch, but not sure how to find any of my games at all in it. Not sure I have the snes core loaded correctly, it's listed in the Load Core screen as "snes9x 205 _ libretro.so" like just a file. The other cores are like "PC Engine/PCE - CD (Media fen PCE FAST)" I suspect I don't have the core in there properly.

Oh I thought everyone had all games working for PlayStation on the nes mini. But how did you get around the space issue??? They are so big and one psx game (other then ridgeracer) puts me over the max??

Bigjdoberman

The sizes are vary. Just pay attention to them and you actually can still add more games. During my test, I had like 1-2 of these among with other NES & Genesis games: CTR (.pbp) is 97.4 mb, Crash 2 (.bin) is 183 mb, Metal Slug X (.bin) is 100 mb, Tactics Ogre (.pbp) is even 50 mb.

Are you sure about that? My repo has the same core as D_Skywalk's.

Pretty sure. At first I installed from your Github link and could not find those 3 options. Then I used the one from here (as referred by @AndyVr's thread on https://gbatemp.net/threads/nesc-psx-guide-retroarch-settings.464867/#post-7194043): https://github.com/DSkywalk/retroarch-clover/releases, the options were available.

On the bottom of the screen it will show the core loaded. Then in contents you will see a bunch of files just like in hakchi game folder. Just click on one and it shows what game it is. Find the game you want to try and try it

When I load "snes9x 205 _ libretro.so", it still says no core at the bottom of the screen. It loads other cores fine.

Without using retroarch, you can't play FDS games. Rgs.

That's not true. clover-kachikachi (built-in emulator) supports FDS games

Can someone tell me what core/bios etc do I need to run Metal slug (neogeo or mame version)?
I tried installing fba/mame2003 mini core and neogeo.zip bios (and changed zip to fba/mame2003 in command line) but when I open the game it gives me black screen and returns to the menu.
Thx

I have added those .wav files inside the file invaders.zip and it doesn't sound anything :(, just the ship that passes over...

@ByteThis I use the core mame2000, what am i doing wrong?

rgs.

you put in the game zip?? that wont work
.....................

for sound samples goto

bios_template.hmod\etc\libretro\system

inside the system folder, where bios go, make a fba folder or a mame2003 folder ( or a folder for what ever core your using.)

inside those folders make a samples folder
and put your zipped sounds samples in the samples folder

then re install bios_template.hmod

works for space invaders w/ mame2003. yes the space ship across the top has sounds

Just so I know for future. Where you would paste neo geo bios in system. You would create a folder called mame2003 and inside that folder you would create another folder called samples. Then you would put the samples in that folder?
