I don't think this will be possible but...
Maybe a better browser for Wii U since the current one isn't that good. [I mean that stock Wii U one/ My opinion]

inb4 ChromiiUm (Chromium for Wii U)

I'd be fine with either that, or Firefox.

As for requests: HTTPS => HTTP patcher for things like Miiverse and the Nintendo Network. If not, maybe bypass SSL root cert integrity checks.

I finally registered to suggest making a homebrew app that would enable the gamepad to be used in Vwii mode.
I hope this isn't too unrealistic.

I don't know whether this is even possible but it would be nice if we could use the front USB ports for vWii. Just one of them and then one in the back would be fine, then vWii still only have 2 ports. That way both my HDD can be connected in the back and then one of the front ports can be used for ad-hoc stuff for vWii like microphone and Skylanders portal. It would look nicer because then the front could be closed when not playing games needing USB accessories and itwould be much easier for my kid to connect stuff in the front when he wants to play those games.

Is that even possible?

Can we have custom console splash screen rather than "Wii U" yet?

What about custom dark themes for the sysmenu?

Custom text or sfx?

CBHC spoofs sysmenu version/region free/sigpatched etc in mini cfw... But could it potentially do Priiloader style tricks like no system music and other mods for customisation?

Has the sysmenu actually been RE'd?

To change boot screen, we need to modify boot1 :q
I think, dark themes will be a thing when we will be able to run 100% real CFW...

Use Ustealth on the vwii hdd and plug it into the left Port (console standing). That way the front USB Slots are free. Wii u wont detect the stealthed drive and the USB loaders will but will ignore the wii u drive. Problem solved.

That's not what I asked about. I already use ustealth to have both hdd connected at the same time. My "issue" is that I need to connect the Skylanders portal to a USB port that the vWii can see because my son plays Skylanders on Wii and not WiiU. Since the vWii can only see the USB ports in the back I have to connect the Skylanders portal there leaving only the front USB ports available for the WiiU hdd. I would like to be able to change that so both hdd can be connected in the back but that requires that the vWii can use the USB ports in the front for the Skylanders portal.

Sorry. Totally misunderstood the case. I didnt even know that it wont recognize the front ports in Vwii mode.

How about a powered usb Hub as workaround? I know its inconvenient, but it should work, shouldnt it?

No problem
I don't know whether it will work when placing the hdd in a powered USB hub but I will try when I get my hands on one. Thanks for the idea

Could we possibly get an addition to the main thread to see what's being worked on? I'd personally like to see a Freeshop and N64 emulator

Miiverse alternative "Hackverse" which will let you talk about stuff with even more freedom, rather than getting scared about getting banned, it will also work the same way as Miiverse, but it will be better.

If this becomes a thing, i'll be golden.

We have that, its called IRC.
Sending pictures via the LameIRCU client is a little complicated, but if you're on the right channel, you could really talk about anything.
