Hacking JPN cia of ACNL crashes on yellow train...

Hi.

I wanted to have a second town for animal crossing...so...
I installed the jpn cia and update cia onto my 3ds.
It would crash on the yellow train loading screen.
Looked up some methods to fix this:

• I tried the method with the locales file...didnt work
• Installed the lumalocaleschanger thing...that didnt work

Don't know what else to do... Any idea on what i can do to fix the issue.
(ps. i did select the tick in the luma menu to be able to use out of region cia)

I had this problem, and the fix was just to set the locale settings. Make sure you aren't on the latest nightly of Luma (because it doesn't seem to work on it) so use the latest stable. Also make sure that your luma settings allow it.

stable is normal version and nightly is hourly, correct?

Make sure you aren't on the latest nightly of Luma (because it doesn't seem to work on it).

It does work on it... the path was just changed.

Instead of
SD:/luma/locales/<titleid>.txt

It's now
SD:/luma/titles/<titleid>/locale.txt

Still don't know why you wouldn't just use a save manager rather than installing an entirely separate copy of the same game.

Or better yet, use Town Manager - it automates the juggling of save files so you only need to pick which one you want to load in the current play session.

You can also use this version https://github.com/ericjwg/LumaLocaleSwitcher/releases for nightly. I think you can also have AC:NL + update and the new Amiibo Update version together. I guess NTR cheat doesn't work with the new version.
