This is just Nintendo hypnotizing fans to make them believe it wasn't a rushed release. Look at the design yourself and see what causes these scratches and scuffs on the plastic screen. If plastic on plastic is rubbing it is to be EXPECTED for scrapes and scuffs.

They're also half convinced that anyone with the JoyCon issue is either holding it wrong, or has it next to too many interfering devices. The switches aren't scratching themselves. What's funny is I've got a nice line on my screen protector that came right after docking my switch for the first time. Your skepticism is desperate.

One of the more common things I've seen is that the dock is slightly bent in the front. Which would have come either from shipping, or the factory.

My dock is bent inward and bowed yet my screen is still flawless. Guess I'm just lucky like everyone else.

The only issue I had was the joycon issue, yet today when I tested mine against my friends I found that my issues have completely disappeared. I was able to use the left joycon continuously even from a very far distance behind my back with no issues and it has not disconnected on my yet today. Guess I'm just lucky.

I had no issues with the system, no scratches, no problems, work like it should. I ordered mines from best buy, it really is the BEST BUY :creep:

Only problem i got is that it randomly switches tv input when using other stuff on the tv, i'm not the only one, i seen twitch streamers complaining about it too. :hateit:

Got mine from BB as well :P

Do you happen to have a Samsung smart tv? The majority of hdmi issues I have seen have been on samsung tv's. Works flawlessly on my Sony 610c, I have an older samsung in the bedroom but it's not a smart tv and I haven't bothered to try it yet too busy enjoying Zelda haha!

No, is a VIZIO from before 2008 with only 2 HDMI inputs, i have a splitter than i use for 3 input, but i need to upgrade to one with 5 or more since i have too many consoles. (PS3, PSVita tv, PS4, WII U, Nvidia Shield, Switch, Raspberry Pi) It randomly switches input even no matter what i do, only way to stop it would be turn off console or unplug hdmi leave it in sleep mode, since i need it to charge the joycon. If i didn't have to charge the joycon, i would just turn it off, i guess i may need that charge grip controller, just hate how expensive all these "TOYS" Are, HD RUMBLE, when am i ever gonna need that? :wtf:

Does it not charge when turned off? I was under the impression it does, joycons included, when using a 15v input.

I've had 0 of these issues and I am just really curious how someone could scratch their dock after putting it in and taking it out?

People have to be handling their Switches like apes or something. I would have to take Nintendo's side on this one until something concrete is shown by people other than news sites and random children on Reddit.

I do believe Joycon issues are due to design/manufacturing flaw though.

Maybe I just got lucky but my dock isn't bent at all.

Can you take a pic? I haven't seen one that isn't bent yet..

I had the dreaded left joycon disconnect zombie running link issue when I first started playing zelda, but after I got the pro controller and been using that for a week now I went and tested my joycons again and miraculously they work from across my room and behind my back now no problem. Not sure what fixed them, dock was moved for taking pictures of it then put back in same spot, switch has been undocked redocked many times, power cycled a few times. Had to be one of those that did it. I'm a happy camper now!

You can see the top is not flush with the box, although it is hard to notice in that pic, need some light.
It looks worse than it actually is because the lip of the box (where the box is glued together). I'd say it's less than a millimeter irl, and that's probably caused by the way I carried it out of my room for the pic.

Also no bent dock here there's a slight gap due to the make up of the switch box
