Hacking Suggestion NFC from JoyCon on PC for editing Amiibo.

It would be great if someone was able to make an NFC driver and a program to edit Amiibo save data. Basically what we can do already with the third party NFC readers but with less hassle and no paying extra money since you can just use the bluetooth adapter on your computer to connect a JoyCon up.

I wasn't really meaning to use it as a homebrew exploit but to actually edit saves to use in games.

Speculating on how could would it be if hackers ended up using modifies amiibo data as exploits

You can do it in most of android phones with nfc, no extra cost is required... and no joycon bluetooth connection nor pc...

You can do some stuff with it. But I think they could do more advanced stuff with a PC version.

Man you know that the phone van do everything the computer does? Maybe at slower rate, and in this case its not even relevant... what you want to do with the pc and you think cant be implemented on the android?

Yes but there are a lot of existing tools they could use by just making a driver that works the same way as the other NFC readers.

I'm a heavy Android supporter don't get me wrong but a lot of people don't have NFC on their phones. Most people have Bluetooth on their computer and if they don't it's like $5-$10 to get it. The current Amiibo tools on Android do not do everything that the ones on PC do and don't work on all NFC enabled phones because some phones can only read certain tags.

This section is for the Nintendo Switch is to be assumed they already own a Nintendo Switch if they are in this session. Why do you care so much that I want to be able to use the joycon NFC on my PC?

As far as the tools on PC there are pre made Amiibo cheats on PC and ways to correctly replace save data. Using TagMo to replace the save on an uninitialized Amiibo causes it to be corrupt and the system makes you restore it to the previous state. If there are other tools to directly edit Amiibo that aren't hex editor on Android please feel free to link me.

The Joy-Con controllers show up as standard HID, but with a few weird quirks. (I've noticed that the joystick acts like a D-pad; it only registers 8 directions.)

For proper analog, NFC, accelerometer/gyroscope, and the IR camera, there's probably some proprietary commands that need to be sent to the Joy-Con controller. Someone with the proper tools (multiple Bluetooth adapters and software to pass through commands from Joy-Con to Switch) would need to reverse-engineer these commands before they can be implemented in a driver.
