Have you tried turning it off and on again?
ok it worked after the 3rd reboot but i am still having a problem, how is this shit supposed to work? i edited the config file to have it boot fw.img as default and to hold a to boot HBL, i reversed HBL and fw.image
so when i hold a it boots HBL but when i just launch it and do nothing it just hangs all i get is a wii u logo and under it it just says wii u menu and does nothing
i thought it was supposed to boot back tot he wii u menu with sig ptched enabled , but it does nothing just hangs on that screen
haxchi v2.5u2

Im not an expert on this, but why are you having it boot fw.img? Are you trying to initialize the patches? If so set boot to sysmenu. Do you even have a fw.img on your sd card?

And you have to reinstall haxchii for config changes to take effect, it doesn't just change automatically.

no i don not have the fw.img where do i get it ,
i just figured out that is most likely the problem
where do i put the fw.img on the root?
i though it was in the zip on the github

yea i edited the config file before i installed it
someone suggested it is more convient to just have it reboot the home menu with sig patched and to have it set to hold A to boot to HBL

i just panicked for a second and though i might have used the CBHC zip by mistake thank god i didn't do that

No need for FW image.

I set mine to default HBL, or hold PLUS for haxchiFW.
my config has 3 lines

a=fw.img
b=sysmenu
default=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf

i edited it to

a=wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf

b=sysmenu

default=fw.img

so how do i make it boot to the menu with the iosu explit and sig patches? i guess i will need the fw.img now right?
or else can i put the haxchi fw and rename it to fw.img?

As above user stated, you don't need any fw.img. Set default=sysmenu in the config file and reinstall haxchii. When launching it will do it's thing and return you to the system menu with the sigpatches applied.

Or you can download mocha cfw from the app store, then have default= sd:/wiiu/apps/mocha/mocha.elf to load moach each time by default, which is what i do. :P

You don't need firmware files, and haxchi does not brick your system.

It is not Haxchi that brickw, it is YOU. Haxchi is safe, a lot of people has installed it without problem.
I think you should disable fw.img boot and automatically chose sysnand.

Here is a tuto that i've folowed: https://github.com/FlimFlam69/WiiUTutorial/wiki/0:-Starter-Pack

so i will have to delete the game from the system and redownload it from the eshop and then edit the config and and run the haxchi installer from the HBL right?
and i would have to edit it to say default=sysmenu and either a A or B = HBL
and then what i don not even need the fw.img line in there at all?

also what is the safe way to uninstall it, and is there an update risk to go inline now, i heard they may push a software update today

Uninstall haxhi first. Then, check if your vc game is back to normal.
If it is OK, retry to install thank to the tuto i've linked before.

No you dont need to uninstall it (meaning the full game). Run the haxchii installer again from the HBL. And yes, kill the fw.img line.

No update as of now, but if you have update protection in place that's a non-issue...you can go online all you want and still play everything available.

Be sure to detach the USB storage (if you have any) from the WII-u BEFORE redownloading the game and/or installing haxchi

how do you uninstall it ,run the haxchi installer from HBL and there is an option to uninstall in there?

what if i just put a FW img on my SD card then it would boot it by default and i would not have to reinstall anything

Just do this:

Edit Haxchi config to where the default loading is sysmenu (basically a patched sysmenu so you can install/play games and DLC etc.). No need for the fw.img at all.

Then:

Run Homebrew Launcher > Open Haxchi Installer > Install Haxchi (it will overwrite your previous installation don't worry) > Run Haxchi from home screen (test if it works. Should just put you back to the home menu) > Done

Then just run Haxchi everytime you boot your console.

ok but are you sure it is safe to overwrite haxchi i thoug i read somewhere it was a bad idea to do that
i gues si can just live with holding B to boot the menu or just install fw.img if i knew where to put it or where to get it
wouldn't the fw.img do the exact same thing as the b=sysmenu option anyways?

Pretty much the same thing with more detail lol. Look, this isnt as complicated or risky as you are thinking... CBHC is prob what you have been reading about. Haxchii itself with no cold boot is virtually brickproof. Just rerun the haxchii installer with the correct config in place and you will be all set. No fw.img, no second guessing brick risk..this is as safe as it gets and a 2 minute fix for a problem you have been worried about for way too long lol

ok i just booted haxchi holding B to go to sysmenu it takes about 4 or 5 minutes for it to load the icon on my home menu , is this normal is it supposed to be this slow?ok NM works faster after reboot , i was also having glitch powering down the console from the game pad also fix now so is there any way i could tell if the haxchi FW is running and sigs are patched besides trying to launch a game installed to USB
