What is PBT and TRICK? oO

They were among the first community developed CFW, before RxTools was blown wide open. (at the time it forbid signature patches, so at most you could only install legit CIAS on that)

If you're interested you can find a list here, done by mid-kid (cakes cfw main developer): https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-many-cfw-released-to-date.390311/#post-5525001

Another interesting link: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Hacking_history_3DS

I used TRICK and SignatureProtected RxTools when i first got my 1st 3ds. those were the times... TRICK( or Palantine) had TERRIBLE bootrates, requiring at least 30-50 boots to get into the home menu, if ever. I had my 3ds on sleepmode forever on those times, and bewared of it's battery level before it discharged.
RxTools had such a better bootrate in comparison, but you couldn't do much with it because the signatures were in place.

I think i remember trying out PBT briefly when a friend help me set them up for the first time, though.
EDIT: Ah, PBT stands for "Perfect Bricking Tool" and it was a CFW, as scary as it sounds. :rofl2:
