Well, now I also think the boxes would look much better with some different nintendo game heros on the covers than the Miyamoto picture. hmmmmm ....
I'll test it later. Now it's time to play some games. :D
Cool Bro. Another question, are you also experiencing some kind of a bug? When going back from one folder, the other folders end up to the left instead of right. I can't explain it, I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

The "Asian guy" is Shigeru Miyamoto

the man invented donkey kong, donkey kong invented mario, donkey kong saved nintendo !!!

How many NESCE save states are you able to create? Can you try adding like 40 to make sure you won't run into a C4 error?

I think the USA romset for SMS and TG16 is under 90 ROMS apiece and they aren't any larger than typical NES ROMs. I think I have 714 total ROMs installed between the 3 systems.

Yeah, it's a problem if you have not enough entries inside the folders. I tried to make at least 12 games inside any of the folders. and a max of 35. now i have the problem only in the root folder with the consoles icons. so what, maybe i will add some favorites folders or somethig else stuff in the root. :D

STUPID QUESTION TIME - That could have a HUGE IMPACT

What happens (to available space) when you uncheck the original 30? Are they actually removed from the kernel creating 30 NES sized slots?

We are so pressed for space right now that I'm trying to think of every single way to reduce kernel size, optimize space available, and avoid the damn red solid light while flashing.

On a related note - has anyone tried ZIP for ALL roms? NES, SNES, GENESIS, GBA, N64? Zips for some roms are 50-60% smaller than the full rom.

Does Hakchi actually load the ZIP to the Mini and RA unzips when the game is loaded? If we completely replace the default NES emulator bundled with the Mini and get RA to run every single rom - ideally we would load up all ZIPS, RA would extract to run, then when your done playing, ur left with only the zip file.

In theory could double the amount of games we can get on the mini.

When you uncheck the original 30, the games and all their assets remain on the system; just hidden. Regardless, they are incredibly tiny.

hakchi2 unzips all games when adding them. Just look in the hakchi2 games folder to see this. The only games that remain in a zip are arcade titles with multiple files. Despite this, hopefully the retroarch games will eventually be able to remain zipped, to save space.

yeah but I am wondering how many save states you can create using the NESCE's 4 save slot feature. I've tried every combination of games even with only the stock 30 games and 20 SNES roms I am unable to create more than 20 for SNES and 20 for NES. I was wondering if it was different for other people.

I've added instructions to README.md which is repo's title page (please, read them before downloading anything. Seriously.), updated the repo with extra cores (thank @nesito for that, ask him about these cores if you need help).
FDS loading with Nestopia was broken on previous builds (due to core searching for FDS BIOS in the wrong directory).
Added a module to use Nestopia instead of FCEUmm (use_nestopia.hmod). Install that if you really hate FCEUmm.

Cluster's repo contains the exact same bulild (for now, at least).
The only difference is that you won't find extra cores there.

Question. I want to play Capcom's Super Puzzle Fighter (Arcade game, not a cartridge). I'm a little confused about the rom itself. It came in a zip file filled with multiple files. Hakchi wants me to choose a file. Are those different versions or are they all part of the game?

It looks like:

pzf.01
pzf.02
pzf.04
pzf.11m
pzf.12m
pzf.14m
pzf.16m
pzf.18m
pzf.20m
pzfe.03

add the first file so it adds the game to Hakchi . then go to the game's folder in the Hakchi directory and find your game .
delete pzf.01 and copy over your game zip.
go back to Hakchi and go to the comand line arguments . at the end you will see pzf.01 delete that and put the Name of your zip file and put .zip at the end.
at the beginning after /bin/ put the appropriate name that corasponds to the core .
fix the name of the game add a pic and it should work.

comand line should look like this
/bin/your core name /usr/share/games/nes/kachikachi/CLV-U-?????/your game name.zip

did this on my phone from memory I'll try to do a better one at home and maby a video
