Tested Mame2003 core with roms like Toki and it works great. Unfortunately it seems not to work with roms such as Dungeons And Dragons [ddsom.zip], it goes back to the main screen clover gui; i suspect rom is too big, need more tests. The core i used is this one: https://www.sendspace.com/file/p51sq3
just unpack in \user_mods folder and upload to nes mini. Roms were uploaded inside an official NES title in .zip format.

the D&D games are CPS2 . use fb_alpha_cps2_libretro.so core

Thanks for all the hard work, guys! Maybe in my old age my reflexes aren't what they used to be because most of those NES platformers and shooters were kicking my ass. Game Genie is awesome! With no shame, I blatantly cheated my way through Gradius last night. How is that game even possible to beat without cheating?

What is the current recommendation for a safe number of ROMS per folder? I think I'm running about 45 SNES roms in a single folder right now but haven't used a lot of saves yet.

Hello everyone,
I have managed to upload some SNES and N64 games using the modules (thanks PCM!!!).
Can someone suggest which controller can I use for these games (obviously I can't use the original NES Classic with its two buttons :) )
Which controllers have been confirmed working? I tried a compatible wii classic controller (not the official) but it does not work....
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

So anyone knows what's up with the folder issue? If I go in one folder and then go back suddenly it jumped to the middle folder.

I bought a used Wii Classic and it works great.

Hi,

I installed 5 nes games with hakchi2 2.11
Now I would like to add the whole 700 nes games with custom folders (by letters) with 2.12

Do I have to restore the original kernel dumped before or can I directly synchronise?

To have unsupported games and european ones working, do I only have to install the retroarch mod without making anything else?

Thanks!

Please help.

Is there a video or anything out there that show/tell me how to make Asterix for nes to work?

Someone wrote me how to do it but i didnt understood any of that

Very grateful for all the help.

A little help please.... this could be serious...
I am currently uploading some games to NES Classic with hakchi2 as usual, but during one of the pauses it makes (when there are too many roms),
the power LED is ON for more than 6 minutes.... is it stuck? what can I do to fix it without damaging the console?????

Edit: I have set it to upload 5 n64 roms, 10 for SNES, 10 Genesis, and about 300 NES roms....
and it's still stuck (10 minutes now)

use te core mednafen_supergrafx_libretro.so works for me, download here https://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/linux/armhf/latest/

Grabbed that already... tried it and it didn't work for me... how did you get it to work? I added the core, made the edit in the pce file using notepad++, uninstalled extra modules, installed modules and I get a back screen with both pce as well as sg games... however, with mednafen_pce_fast I was at least able to get pce games working...

STUPID QUESTION TIME - That could have a HUGE IMPACT

What happens (to available space) when you uncheck the original 30? Are they actually removed from the kernel creating 30 NES sized slots?

We are so pressed for space right now that I'm trying to think of every single way to reduce kernel size, optimize space available, and avoid the damn red solid light while flashing.

On a related note - has anyone tried ZIP for ALL roms? NES, SNES, GENESIS, GBA, N64? Zips for some roms are 50-60% smaller than the full rom.

Does Hakchi actually load the ZIP to the Mini and RA unzips when the game is loaded? If we completely replace the default NES emulator bundled with the Mini and get RA to run every single rom - ideally we would load up all ZIPS, RA would extract to run, then when your done playing, ur left with only the zip file.

In theory could double the amount of games we can get on the mini.
