ROM Hack Local multiplayer problem

Yesterday i tried to exchange some Pokémon in Pokémon Sun with a friend and it didn't work

After that we tried to play Animal Crossing New Leaf welcome amiibo together but it didn't work too

How can i fix it?


My Nintendo:

Old/New 3ds: o3ds
Cfw: luma
Firm: 11.0
A9lh installed: yes
Pokémon Sun: no update
ACNL welcome amiibo: 1.5


Friends Nintendo:

Old/New 3ds: New
Cfw: no
Firm: 11.3
A9lh installed: no
Pokémon Sun: latest update
ACNL welcome amiibo: 1.5

Can you tell us exactly how it didn't work? Which step were you on when it failed? Was there an error code?

Pokémon Sun: the 3ds did not find each other

ACNL welcome amiibo: one of us opened the train station but the other did not find the town


There was no error or such like that

As a temporary workaround, since I don't know how to solve your issue, have you tried connecting to each other using the internet instead?

Connect via Internet works fine but local not

Are the 3DS systems different regions?

Edit: Are you using CIA-installed games? Are you using the latest stable Luma3DS? Are you using an hourly build of Luma3DS? Have you tried updating the CFW console to 11.3?

Updating on Luma up to current latest (11.3) is safe.
