you can close it once you are no longer on 2.1

(if it's turned off that's okay too, but just don't risk it. Get off of 2.1)

This risk is only for n3ds btw.

Not long at all. After you run the website exploit, and install a9lh - you restore your old nand, and bam, you're done with 2.1.

If you do it right, you will only be on 2.1 for a few moments.

theoretically I don't see why not, but just follow the guide. Plailect writes what he thinks is the best route - if you follow his guide, you should do what he says. No cutting corners :P

is it safe to take out the sd card on the homebrew launcher though, cuz i can see how it would be kind of stupid to considering all the stuff homebrew loads from is on the sd card

Decrypt9 (Homebrew Launcher)
What you need

  2. Create a folder named files9 on the root of your SD card if it does not already exist
  3. Copy safehax.3dsx to the /3ds/ folder on your SD card
  4. Copy fasthax.3dsx to the /3ds/ folder on your SD card
  5. Copy Decrypt9WIP.bin from the Decrypt9WIP .zip to the root of your SD card and rename Decrypt9WIP.bin to safehaxpayload.bin
