I felt a pit in my stomach when i tried changing my nfirm so i can use the ntr update, only to have the 3ds black screen. Atleast people asking to downgrade can be given a solid "no" now without having to link the guide every goddamn time.

Freeshop still works as does JKSM
Pretty much every homebrew app should work. They're pretty much just custom applications. Things like ntr though that mount the home menu and run alongside your cfw will obviously get patched out, due to the new home menu.

RxTool master race no more?:cry:
Honestly, thank god

Like, it doesn't work at all or just downgrading?
Just downgrading, back up and restore still work.
Since Homemenu now require lastest NFIRM, which make Hardmod Downgrade or DSiware Downgrade which only downgrade NFIRM useless.
Because the home menu won't boot after Downgraded.

Thank you. I just sent my 3ds to Nintendo today, so thought I might be screwed. I flashed a stock nand image and removed the hardmod before sending it.

I was planning to redo the hardmod when I got it back, so this freaked me out.

Sent it to Nintendo for what?
And it shouldn't ve hard for them to tell if a device was hardmodded if they look at the hardware.
And hardmods void any kind of warranty you had.
This doesn't make to much sense to me.

Gateway 3DS (arm9 payload, emuNAND) black screen on 11.3.
I'll test my sky3DS if I ever find it but I doubt it got patched.

RXTools is dead
Those are probably the only 2 apps that break after every new update since they use home menu, and home menu will get changed with every new update.

Hardmod can be temporary install without soldering, but user need to be very carful when doing that.
Also, I think the proper uninstall also can fool Ninty. Fixing something still require Ninty anyway.

Apparently some people have had luck getting them to swap TN displays for IPS ones.

I cleaned it up with desoldering braid and it looks pretty good, but who knows. If they ask about the small hole I'll make something up. They probably won't buy it.

Anyway, if they don't wanna do anything they'll just send it back. Nothing lost. The warranty expires on the 20th so I had to try.

Yup, also, needs new payload for HBL and new update for BootNTR(Selector?) (unknown firm)
Yeah, NTR just needs to change the offsets, but it's slightly different with this update because the kernel code was changed.
