A friend is selling me a ps vita 16gb memory card for $45. I live in Canada somemory cards for ps vitas are really expensive, and I need one urgently as 4gb isn't enough for me. I will only be downloading a few titles like COD Black ops 2, J stars, SAO lost song Minecraft, Attack on titan and minecraft. Will it be enough?
I'll be buying the adapter when it comes out since this is the last over priced memory card I'll ever buy.

Honestly i think you should buy retail game carts if you don't have a large memory card, i had a vita since 2013, and only had 32GB with all my games being from PS store. I buy my games there since
  • NO TAX. :P
  • Playstation plus members get further discounts which is almost as good as steam sales.
  • not playstation plus sales are just as good.
  • Cupon codes help.
While is my reasons for buying the games from there, i rather get the carts if they weren't expensive, since it does mean.
  • Instant playback of games. (No waiting for downloads and installs)
  • Not stored on memory card that can take up lots of room for other Download only games (Or media like pictures, music and videos... homebrews)
  • Less concern about data management.
Each thing has its own good and bad but is just how it is. If you don't plan on buying games from ps store that you can buy retail, a small card with retail only games is okay. If you only buy digital games, get a larger card.

I only need the memory card for the games that I have already bought :P
I will still buy carts when I get more money as I have used it all on digital games and this memory card x.x

All of those games you listed should fit on a 16gb memory card fine, you should have a bit of space left at the end too. There is a guide in the tutorials section to cut down the size of the games to save yourself some extra space if you want to get extra games on your card

Who in their sane mind would use the precious vita storage for anything other than games? (Music, videos, etc). Any smartphone can do that, and the vita mem cards are so pricy that its just not worth it.

I have a 16gb mem card and i could only fit 7 games (albeit most are heavy ones) like Uncharted, Killzone Mercenary, P4g, Child of light, Gravity Rush, Velocity 2X and The Binding Of Isaac: ReBirth.

Does anyone know what's the biggest game on Vita? DLC and updates included of course.

I don't know of there are any bigger VITA cards than 4gb games. (they came in 2gb and 4gb retail, right?) don't know if digital games surpassed this. Killzone Mercenary is a whooping 3.5gb, for example.

Some people do use it for those things other than games, is there an available to whoever wants to use it. I don't honestly since i don't really listen to music, or think of watching a video on any screen that isn't even 720P or higher, and the camera isn't really that much better at pictures than the 3DS with the bad 0.6 Mega pixel camera. Is not about who would do it, i just mentioned it to acknowledge the fact it exist and is there. I known people who buy things for is other features than is intended purpose.

Some people bought ps2 for just movies and music and not games, some people could have bought ps3 for blu ray movies and music and videos or whatever, and all the on demand streaming apps. You never know what they think or will do.

Personally I just went straight ahead with a 64 GB card in spite of how expensive it is. I figure that since these are ridiculously expensive it would ultimately be more expensive long-term if I instead purchased smaller cards and had to upgrade to a bigger size later on. At least this way, unless they decide to throw out even larger size cards I'll never have to upgrade again.

That all being said, I realise micro SD adaptors are being worked on as we type and eventually they shall no doubt become the optimal way of getting memory for cheap. As things stand now I won't be getting another PS Vita because of the memory price (I'll buy one but that's it), but the moment this becomes open to the market that option will be desirable.

I really really really hope I'm wrong, but I suspect this will never happen

It's really only a matter of time. Last I remember there was progress being made since December last year, so there's hope yet.

Plus failure is to be expected; things break down and fail eventually. I happen to own a few micro SD cards that have already kicked the bucket. The card in question is brand new so I shouldn't expect much problems for awhile.

Funny enough, if some company does manage an adapter, they could probably even sell it for $40 and all of us will jump right on that, so dev cost can be easily justified compared to $2 adapters of the past.
