I got into speedrunning and needed a fast computer with cpu power for streaming and that only. I found this on CL wanted to know if it's powerful enough for streaming I plan on buying it if it can I know nothing about this amd platform.

CPU: AMD phenom II X6 1100t no overclock
RAM: 16gb weird brand called ozc (sp?) (I think this is overkill?)
GPU: Geforce 650ti
mobo is a stock OEM one from MSI according to the seller
psu is antec 700 watts new
has 4 hdd in raid configurations (only going to use one)

Wants $600 for the setup, is it worth it in the long run? It's nice runs quiet case is bulky but I can get over it.

The specs are alright, but I think you can build a better system from the ground up.

What exactly are you trying to do- will this desktop steam only while you play on another system?

Yep this will juat be for streaming when I am playing on my consoles and lots of multiple sites going too qt once

Hum.... 650 Ti? I'm not sure about how good that PC will be for playing games, isn't the 600 series kind of... outdated?

You can probably build a cheaper, more powerful PC from the ground up.

Yeah but I am not going to use it for gaming just streaming box for recording

That computer does not sound like it's worth $600 at all. Like others have already said - you could most likely build an equivalent or faster computer for less.

If I could get it for $500 would that be more reasonable?

Not only is it overpriced, a "streaming box" still needs to run games decently. Not to mention, the hardware is.... weak. I mean, 500/600$ for Phenom and 650 Ti system?

This plus a decent Pcie capture card of your choice.
@gnmmarechal he said he's gonna use it as a recording computer only, so gaming performance mustn't be absolute.
Also another reason to build a new rig is that you'll get new storage devices. I'm guessing his HDDs are pretty old, around 5-6 years. They've probably gone through a lot of read/write cycles- more chance of failing.

The reason I chose the AMD FX6300 is because it's better than any of Intel's offerings at the price. While it doesn't win any IPC prizes, it shines at multicore tasks.

Oh, streaming as in video streaming to the internet. I was thinking about game streaming x.x

That pc isn't worth 600$ and you don't even need the other 3tb hdd. And with streaming you mean you want to record games? With software similar to fraps? I think you also need a decent pc, example fraps dropping like 5 to 10 fps while recording.

I wouldn't say this is worth more than $300. And it's not suitable for you with the weak CPU.
And 16GB of RAM.... That's kind of overkill for this kind of PC, no?

And yeah, that CPU... Is fairly old, even for AMD CPUs... Any CPU of the FX 8000 series would beat it correct? And maybe the FX 6000 series?
