Do you use the .3dsx or .cia version?
Cia, though ik through testing that dynarec recompiling (extra speed) can be enabled on the 3dsx version as long as you're on 9.2, though this probably doesn't matter. It might work with cfw too but i never actually tested yet.

Well, I can't get 1.4.0 gpsp to work at all. It just crashes every time I select a game.
Can anyone recommend a build that is decently stable? I just wanna play my Fire Emblems, dammit.
1.3.3 i find is the most stable, though did you make sure to put a gba bios?

Yeah, it's in there. Everything was working (well, working as well as it could) before I upgraded to 1.4.0.
I'll check out 1.3.3.
Every time you make a jump in versions in RetroArch, you need to delete the CFG files found inside /retroarch/ folder.
Sometimes not deleting said files and using the previous ones causes errors like not booting games or closing itself in 3DS.

Ahhhh. well, I'm a dumbass. I'll try that. Thank you.

I'm trying out 1.3.3 right now and it still has plenty of slowdown (especially in Drill Dozer), although that may be because I don't know where "shaders" are in the menus or if they're even turned on.

Seems like the Atari 2600 core (Stella) for retroarch 3DS was not compiled. I compiled it weeks ago believing it was already in the nightlies, well, there ya go (attached file), it works at 40 - 43 fps on O3DS, of course, with a N3DS will work almost flawlessly.

Anyway to fix the frame drops with Pico Drive on an o3ds? I start out at 60, but it has quite noticeable drops when I'm playing Sonic. I tried Genesis Plus GX, but that stayed at straight 20 FPS no matter what I did.

Kinda funny to me that a core exists which runs perfectly on the N3ds, yet is not part of the official port.

Where are the patreon bucks going if the stable version is still a shambles like this?

Is there anything I need to do to have memory cards work correctly in the PCSX Rearmed core?

The PSX game I'm playing saves without error, but loading says that there is no data on the memory card?

I'm using stable 1.4.0 on New 3DS

can you upload a cia version as well

please, someone, tell me there's a way to disable retroarch creating savestates while running the game?
its running the games at 10 fps while it slowly writes the state, i just want the game to stay paused until the state is writen and continue full speed afterwards

you can't, the best thing to do to avoid the slowdown while saving/loading is to open the retroarch menu (states will save/load faster this way), wait till it says "100% saved to/loaded from slot X", exit the menu, then continue playing normally.

Is there any way to get 32x emulation to run faster than 20fps on old 3ds?I have Picodrive installed as a cia on my emunand.
Also, tried playing some Sonic genesis romhacks. Some work fine, but others fail to launch and cause my system to restart. Any reason why?
