ROM Hack Python ncchinfo.bin help?

So I'm trying to generate an ncchinfo.bin via Python, but because I've never used Python before, and I'm following along minimal instructions: I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong and why I'm not getting a ncchinfo.bin file.

Could someone possibly help me, or explain the steps I should take in Python to accomplish this?

What script do you use ? The rom is a compatible file ? Is "error" written or something like this in the Python script ?

Omg! Thank you! I really appreciate it. The rom is definitely compatible, the error I was getting in Python was a syntax error so I assumed, I wasn't typing it right in the language. So, I researched a bit into Python. And I stopped getting the error but I wasn't getting a ncchinfo.bin. So I definitely think I'm not typing it in right.

Yeah I have! But it doesn't generate enough Xorpads, only one. And I'm missing 3 others that I need.

Try with a different Python version. I think you need Python 2.x for that script, not 3.x.

I'm not sure what you mean. Isn't it just "python ncchinfo_gen.py rom.3ds"?

I already have Decrypt9WIP but because I didn't generate a ncchinfo.bin from Python, it's only giving me 1 xorpad when I generate it in Decrypt. :c

Uh... I have a question... How do you generate XORpads, please ? Do you use Decrypt9wip in a 9.2 3ds ? Because I have a 10.2 3ds, and it's not mine, so I don't know if it's dangerous if I downgrade it.

I use Decrypt9WIP with a 11.2 N3DS XL actually! So I think you should be fine. I'm able to do so cause I utilize soundhax as my Homebrew entry way.

Yeah yeah sure! I'm trying to patch my FE:IF with the English patch (finally) since, I couldn't get it work before (a long time ago LOL!)
How do you want me to send the rom file? Like I said before, I /really/ think I'm just not using Python properly. So, if you could get it to work I'd be forever grateful!
