I'm, very new to ROM hacking, so, I don't really know much, or any terms, I managed to homebrew my 3ds using this:

All I'm really trying to do, is get all the characters in a single route, like, all the kids, all the path exclusives, the capturables, and, hopefully both Kana and both Corrins. Any non playables like Mikoto, Arete or Lilith would be nice, but I'd be happy without.

I'd be grateful to anyone willing to try to help me.

First of all, you're going to need the latest release of FEFTwiddler to import the .fe14unit files I'm about to give you.

I've circled the Import Unit button in this screenshot.

A) The children, you can get simply by marrying off your characters.
B) I'm assuming you're playing as Male!Corrin, so you'll have Female!Kana. Here's my Male!Kana and Female!Corrin.
C) For the Revelations route/Route exclusives, you'll need Izana and Yukimura and Scarlet, thanks to myself.
D) The capturable bosses, thanks to Omegablu.
E) The amiibo units, provided by myself.
F) The characters from Omegablu's custom DLC. You'll just need the .fe14unit files, which can be found in the OmegabluDLCV2/Unit Files folder.
G) The characters from DeathChaos25's custom DLC. Again, you'll just need to find the .fe14unit files, which can be found in the fe14unitfiles folder.

For the custom DLC characters, you'll have to do a few extra things. Using JKSM, you'll also need to extract your extra data because you'll have to merge your extra data with the combined extra data from the link I'm giving you below. The reason why you need the combined extra data is because you cannot use the custom DLC characters without it.

1. Extract your extra data with JKSM.
2. Using the combined extra data from here, merge your extra data with it. Keep it in your extra data folder that you got from JKSM.
3. Import your new extra data with JKSM.
4. Open FEFTwiddler. Go to File -> Open File -> select your save file. FEFTwiddler only supports the Chapter0, Chapter1, and Chapter2 files.
5. Find the Import Unit button in the Unit Viewer tab. Click it and one by one, start to import the units I've given you.
6. Save your changes in FEFTwiddler. Go to File -> Save File -> select your save file.
7. Import your save file with JKSM.
8. Open game and see changes.

Thanks for the immense help, though, do I download all 4 files in the FEFTwiddler link, or just the widdler?

No. Download JKSM from here. You'll want the .3dsx zip from the attachments. FEFTwiddler is the save editor.
Do I just drag all the extracted .fe14unit files into FEFTwiddler > AddonData > Characters folder?

Sorry, like I said, I'm brand new to this stuff.

No. You use the Import Unit button in the Unit Viewer tab of FEFTwiddler to import your units. I recommend that you place all of your .fe14unit files in one folder (I wouldn't put it in that folder you said because I'm not sure what all that's for) so that you can easily find them when you go to import them.

I get a message saying "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you ClickContinue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

File is not a valid Fire Emblem Fates save file." Continue hasn't worked for me yet.

What file did you attempt to open? FEFTwiddler only supports Chapter0, Chapter1, or Chapter2 save files.

I have no idea how, the JKSM just has 3ds > JKSM > JKSM.3dsx, JKSM.smdh, and JKsm.xml
Open the Homebrew Launcher, select JKSM, select your copy of Fates. Follow onscreen instructions to extract your save file. You'll find your save file in SD root -> JKSV -> Saves -> Fire_Emblem_Fates -> * -> Chapter0, Chapter1, Chapter2.

* You will name this folder when you extract your save file

Do I Export Save, or Export ExtData? I, think it's the first one, but, I don't want to have to redo this step.

Export Save. Make sure the save file you want to edit is in the first three slots of your game, if you have the DLC paths.

If you want the custom DLC characters, go ahead and export your extra data.
