If you are unaware of Nintendo Switches reveal last night; then I will be discussing all of the Content that was revealed!
Introduction:

The Switch has been extremely hyped for the past few months, and last night we were able to see most, if not all of what Nintendo has to offer. The Switch is a very promising console thus far; a couple of Launch titles were debuted, and shown off. For example, I will give a quick list of the ones shown:

  • Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
  • Sonic Mania (First Sonic Game on the Console)
  • Puyo Puyo Tetris
  • Super Bomberman R
  • Splatoon 2
  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 2
  • ARMS
  • 1-2 Switch
  • Fire Emblem Warriors
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Also for Wii U)
  • As well as some were shown during the Presentation (In the background) And ones without titles.
Not Mentioned ones (Or Just not Presented well):

  • DragonBall Xenoverse 2
  • Fifa
  • Ultra Street Fighter II
  • Skyrim Elder Scrolls V
  • Has been heroes
  • Just Dance 2017
  • Snipperclips
  • Disgaea 5 Complete
  • Farming Simulator
  • Fast RMX
  • Minecraft Story Mode & Minecraft
  • Steep
  • Project Sonic 2017
  • NBA 2K18
  • Lego City Undercover
  • I am Setsuna
  • SKYLANDERS IMAGINATORS

That was a quick list of all the games shown on Nintendo's site, but let's go more in depth.

The Switch's Features:

SeMTyBk.png

JOY CON BOIZ!
The system will be using a new Controller type; known as the JoyCon(s).
These amazing controllers have everything that Controllers have had in the past.
Rumble, Motion, Precision, buttons, and much more.
As said on the Presentation, there are Rumble motors, multiple ones to be exact. This is what they call "HD Rumble." This new Rumble tech is amazing; you're now able to feel things more realistically. For example, you can feel cubes of ice, dropped in a glass, then water poured into it. This is only the beginning!

You may know that they can be removed from the grip, or system themselves. This is another great idea by Nintendo. They can easily slide on/off the system, and grip. And most likely other controller options in the future. They come with your standard controls, but with a bit more. In the rails of Joycon(s); there's two buttons, your average L + R buttons. As well as each can work independently. You can even use them without the grip! Making it easier to relax, and not having to hold said grip.

More features:

The system has a new Parental Controls feature. Of course, many of you don't care. But, for the young ones; this can be quite useful! You can restrict the amount of time, set what games can be played. All while you see it on you SmartPhone or any other device. Making it easy to manage a kids play-time.

A new Nintendo eShop is also included, most likely with some advancements. You can also take screenshots, and share them using the 'Share' button. No longer do you have to fumble around in MiiVerse! You can also get announcements and news on your device.

This is a quick overlook of the systems hardware.

IIdTcEN.png

This seems to be the systems details. It's limited, yet useful. The system will get around 3-4 hours of battery life when playing games that are quite heavy; which is to be expected. Yet, with lite games or no games at all. The system gets roughly 6-7hours of life. Not bad for this console. We expected far worse though. The system also will include 32GB of memory via Micro SD. Not much, but good enough to start out with. Although, it'll definitely be very expandable. Most likely up to 256GB; which is more than enough for Nintendo games. The system will also have a 6.2" multi-touch display, and it's resolution is 720p (1280x720).
Not the best on the streets, yet acceptable. Although, the system can be docked to a TV, and most likely will support up to 1080p. This is STILL not confirmed.

Not much is known about the dock, yet we have a basis about what it does, and is capable of doing.

Well folks, I appreciate that you all have read this post. I will update this post when new Information is either leaked, or given by Nintendo. Otherwise check the official website for more info. Thanks again.

If there's something I missed, please comment below!

Personal Opinion:

In my opinion; the Switch is a great console for Nintendo. I hope to see it grow, and I hope It'll succeed and bring Nintendo back to their formal glory!

Please, comment below your thoughts upon the new system! I'd love to hear them; whether they're negative or positive.

Not sold yet. $300 is a lot for another portable and $600 with two kids. Plus accessories. I want to see the protection options (cases) for this. Kids are rough on portables.

I honestly would have preferred a good real mobile system and a good real console. This seems like it may not be great at either. Jury still out, but not buying at launch.

Opinions are opinions. Thanks for your feedback. Although, $300 isn't that bad per say. Cases will probably be a thing soon though. Either way, I'm grabbing this thing.

Same, already reserved it and Zelda before they ran on, MK8 looks good, as does Mario and Zelda :P

Someone should start a thread with sales figure guesses for the Switch. One fanboy predicted in an argument with me last night it would sell 50 million by Q3. He must have been high or works in Nintendo's cloud.

I'll buy it at launch and with a bit of luck they'll make an ambassador program like they did with the 3ds

Any titles you purchased on Wii U should be available for free on Switch based off the reveal from last night. That would be a step in the right direction for Nintendo. Unless you really want to own Rayman Legends on multiple systems.

More racing wheels adapters YAY

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Almost every thing I read about switch that doesn't include Zelda has the word gimmick or gimmicky in it. I wonder why (more uber cheesy motion control mini games)

The price is reasonable considering the specs, screen, etc. It's the extra controllers and nonsense that cost far too much IMO. Online service sounds bad, but if it's only like $20-40 a year no big deal (who am I kidding, it will be more).

Cases and such I'm super curious about also, but only because it means you won't be able to dock with a case that is bulky--I'll likely stick with a screen protector (glass hopefully) and a carry case vs a full body case.

True, yet the controllers are quite amazing.

To be fair, we thought the Wii controllers were amazing also--and they basically just led to a slew of shovelware. I agree the concept is interesting, but I'll wait for legit concepts before praising them.
Very understandable. I must agree on that one as well. But, ARMS seems rather cool, as well as 1,2 Switch. More so they're Party games.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter
