It didn't prompt me to update and my consoles are hacked. It will eventually if it hasn't already, after all, the update just came out.

Disable game patching on Luma if you're using code.bin/ips patches and/or delete any cheat plugins you have attached to Moon (/plugin/0004000000175E00).
I don't have any patches or cheats or anything, I simply downloaded the update and now it isn't starting!

Is this a problem with the DLC version or the cartridge? Ergo, something to be worried about if I'm on cartridge?

I use a cartridge and the game still crashes. Again, just disable game patching on Luma, remove any NTR cheat plugins, the games boot up fine afterwards. Also, if anyone's curious, save editing is fine too, at least to my extent, I rarely do save editing. I just hacked in a Marshadow and no problems for example.

This is only happen with physical retail version of game cartridge.

Edit: With me... I do not know other person's here...

Digital versions are affected too, tried it on a Sun cia.

Are you sure? When you boot the game, do you get a green flash? Do you have game patching enabled in Luma's config?

When update Pokemon Moon version 1.1 with "Enable region/language emu. and ext. .code" function in Luma3DS v6.6 menu is freeze of screen of "nintendo 3DS" software load animation... This are for people who are use outline off "function". I do not test with Pokemon Sun. But turn off function in Luma menu and start game, game is load with no problem.....

There is no green flash, it just comes up with the 3DS logo and then the screen goes black, I never get to go to the Lunala screen to start it. What is Luma config and how do I enable it?

Hold select on booting the console, find "Enable game patching" or "Enable region/language emu. and ext. .code" and disable it. Your issue indicates that you either have NTR CFW running with a plugin or you are using a code.bin/.ips patch. Otherwise, you should boot into the game normally. On that note have you done any save editing right before the update went live?

Save editing? I am not sure what that is so I don't think I did that. Okay so I turned off my 3DS, held down the select button, pressed the power button and it took me to the normal home screen, nothing were I can "enable game patching" or region/language. What do I do now?

So you don't even have Luma3DS? How about removing the update and installing it again, maybe it didn't download properly.

Yes I went back into the estore and re-downloaded the update and its still giving me the same issue, a black screen for over half an hour where I can't even go back to the homescreen. No I don't have Luma3DS, I just play the game normally. I havent even taken the cartridge out until tonight.

So you just started playing the game? I would think it's that the update requires you to have your save data initialized, meaning that you started the game and went through the introductory stuff.

No i've had the game for over a month, I've logged 350 hours on it already. I just wanted to use the plaza, it said I needed the update so I went and downloaded it from the eshop and now here I am, 2 hours later and nothing but a black load screen... I'm gonna call nintendo in the morning. This is just awful

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
