You do realize that updating Luma involves replacing a single file, right?

Yeah, one time its friends module patch didn't work on an updated version of it, and it was swiftly fixed. If you are online to update or play online, it takes 10 seconds to update Luma. It's not a big deal.

If something breaks with rxTools, you get to find a new CFW because it is not getting updated.

Never had rxtools break. I guess we'll see one day, if it ever happens.

All that likely has to happen is Nintendo requiring a higher NFIRM version. They've done it before and I am astonished that they haven't required an 11.0+ NFIRM yet.

All I hear is "what if's" and "it will break". When? Hasn't happened yet. First and best cfw in my opinion. RXTools ftw.

That's because Nintendo hasn't updated to add a NATIVE_FIRM requirement. Considering they've been doing it with games lately, it's safe too say they will soon add to the homemenu.
And you still haven't answered my question why you felt the need to lie?

That's funny, because you actually commented in this thread where outdated Luma was the cause of not being to play online: http://gbatemp.net/threads/to-play-or-use-online-you-must-need-11-0-0-3-now.427164

There's another time where I can think of outdate Luma causing an issue, but can't remember exactly what it was. Never had to update RXTools since I got it a year ago.

Of course you never had to update RXToold, the CFW part of it only does banal stuff, it doesn't even use loader replacement, the patches that was once broken in Luma uses the loader replacement and back in the day it still was something new.
You only use the CFW part of RXTools, you don't even use the Tool part of it, if you used, you would know how fucking broken RXTools are. Most of the tools are completely broken, and started to be broken more than one year ago but OH!! LOOK!!! IT STILL IS BROKEN!!!

Now look at Luma and Decrypt9WIP, they had some broken features. BUT OMG!!!! THE BROKEN STUFF WAS FIXED IN THE SAME WEEK (IF NOT IN THE SAME DAY OR THE DAY AFTER) THAT THE FEATURE BECAME BROKEN!!!.

Funny, isn't it? How superior the updated stuff is...

This was a minor temporary issue with an updated friends module (nothing to do with game/title incompatibility); this isn't the 'gotcha moment' you think it is. Feel free to keep using Rxtools, but there's no need to continue your crusade. Others here have already made plenty of good reasons for why people shouldn't be using Rxtools any more.

Not leading a crusade, if anything you guys are. I have yet to see one example where RXTools caused compatibility issues. Man, you guys really feel like you're part of a "master race" so much so that you have to criticize others' cfw choices. I wish people like you would get the hell off your high horse and quit being such a pretentious braggart.

Just let him be with his belove rxtools.
If he don't want to change, it's his choice.

Thank you. I know you're trying to be pretentious, but you're right. I feel like everyone should be able to choose what they want in cfw choices. And if RXTools isn't causing harm and is working as a cfw, then why push so hard to convert others to "Luma Masterrace ftw omglol lmao"? Anyway, thanks.

Luma isn't the only cfw and the OP of this thread can tell you why. The point of this thread is to move you away from outdated software not convert you to one cfw. Read the OP's stickied thread and you'll see all the cfw options you have. Just please move away from outdated cfws

Hey, thanks for the concern. I've not had any problems with RXTools since the very first day I installed it. I think I'm going to stick with RXTools as I don't think anything will ever pop up where RXTools won't work anymore. If, one day, RXTools doesn't work anymore I'll eat my words. Until then, there's absolutely no reason to switch. Thanks.

If he happy with rxTools, then leave him.
Many people still on menuhax and emunand and they are more than happy and they doesn't care for anymore.

But question for @azublazer ,why are you here? Are you trying to prove something and to tell everyone that your rxtools US still okay?

Why are you guys here? Same question. If people are happy with what they have and it's not affecting them negatively, then why bother?

The reason this is here is so that down the road, it doesn't end up affecting them negatively... Its outdated and does not function as well as you think it does. Its tools are broken and games are starting to affect it now. If you are running it with A9LH and nintendo pushes out a fw that overwrites A9LH, then you are kind of screwed.
Rxtools is unstable and no longer being worked on. Why have the trouble down the road when you can easily get rid of the possible damage being done now??? Tbh thats a stupid decision. "Oh It could possibly mess up later? I'll just wait until that happens." No logic in that.

rxtools for life lol only on one of my systems (for research purposes )

the others are future proofed already with a9lh

I still see no reason to bully and haze people into moving from rxtools, point made hardly anyone uses Rx anymore and the remaining few like myself know the potential danger in continuing with Rx

You've clearly misunderstood every single person who has been talking about Rxtools here. People haven't been arbitrarily talking about how Rxtools shouldn't be used any more, but rather about how that there are functional reasons for why it is inferior to newer CFW (particularly that it is unsafe), and that a large number of people on/coming to GBAtemp having issues with Rxtools. Your attempt to label all critics of Rxtools as "pretentious braggarts" is pathetic and childish, and demonstrates that you're completely ignoring and unwilling to listen to any and all of the criticisms of Rxtools that people have put forth.

As I and other people have already told you, feel free to keep using RXtools, but understand that is a personal decision you have made while ignoring all evidence presented to you, and so don't come whining to us when a new system update breaks it.

Because they want you to use an option that the dev still support it, still have an update, ETC.
Atleast, swap only to Luma3DS without A9LH is more up-to-date.
But, if you decline their help. Like I said, it's your choice.
If something happen to your console, the only person you can blame is yourself.

Because we are trying to help future-proof your system. You have no reason to keep using Rxtools when switch is easy, safer, and makes more sense. You are only holding yourself back.
This kind of like people who still use Windows XP. Sure it's working, but support is failing and there's no future for it. RXTools is Windows XP

Using RXTools is like driving a car with a hole in it's tire. Yeah it might be a pin hole but sooner or later it's going to go flat and you're basically saying screw you to a tow....
