Hello guys!
Yesterday my 3DS finally got CFW. Along with FBI. My brother installed Super Mario Maker for me and it works perfectly. I tried to put some games on there myself and none of them work. Yes, I did put them in the Cias folder on my SD. And there is enough space on there. Whenever I try to install a game I get a Error or FBI won't allow me to install the CIA at all. What am I doing wrong? As you can tell, I'm a Noob

First, what's the error FBI is giving you?

Second, have you tried re-downloading the CIA files from another source? They could be bad files.

Third, you could use freeShop as an alternative.

As far as I'm concerned Freeshop doesn't work anymore, right? The big N shut it down.
And yes I've redownloaded the files.

They seem like bad files. Note that it doesn't matter if you put in a folder named cias.

You're better off using something like FreeShop.

FreeShop never didn't work, and it's back up.

freeShop works fine.

Dumb question but you are using an installed version of FBI and not launching it from the homebrew launcher or something, right?

It looks like the .cia files are bad. Redownload them, and make sure they're actually done. If you have slow internet, this can be a problem.
Or just use freeshop.

Think of it this way, where Nintendo looks like this:

And freeshop looks like this:

Nintendo put a wall here:

And the wall does nothing because it's on the wrong side of the tunnel.

Or, this:

But, as you can see, freeShop is unaffected.
Yes, that's a prettier and easier to follow version of what I was trying to say.

CIAngel works just fine also. Never hasn't worked. Once I got a bad CIA of MK7 and I had to remove the ticket to remove the error I was getting when trying to use other CIAs. You may need to use TikSweep to do this.

One more problem, I finally got FreeShop to work. But I only downloaded 1 title so far. Because the other titles I'm trying to download say: Failed to finalize TMD: 0xE0E083EC or Failed to finalize content: 0xD8E08025.

What should I do?

And can you please explain how this solves my problem with the Freeshop? I'm really sorry if I sound like a total noob.

Had that same error with a bad SD card. Was able to use about 10gb of the 128 available before getting that error. Tired to move several files on the computer just to test it and the files always fail around the same point. Had to get a new card. :hateit:
