I've searched everywhere but it doesn't seem like anyone else has this problem at all.

I'm using Gateway on an o3DS, v9.2.20U. I use menuhax to get to HBL and then to Gateway mode and I am able to load up roms like MHG, Bravely Default, Animal Crossing New Leaf, FF Theatrhythm CC, etc. But, some games like all the Zelda games, FE:Awakening, Smash, PW:Dual Destinies, etc all get stuck when loading the rom from the select screen (same exact point in the loading bar for each game. some even finish loading but get stuck afterwards). The entire system does not respond, but the menu sounds still play in the background, and I have to hard reset.

I have tried:
1. Getting .3ds files from different sources
2. Emunand up to v11.0.0-33
3. Changing SD cards
4. Different games from different dates (older games like PW dont work and newer ones like MHG do)

I thought it was a .3ds file problem, but the problem is getting so common that i'm starting to think its a problem with the way I'm setting my 3ds up...

Is anyone able to find out the problem?

Update to 11.2. It won't solve your problem, but it'll prevent potential issues down the road.

Based off of your description, I think your problem is that your SD card is corrupted. Run an error check, and format it for good measure.

The other potential source of your problem is that your Gateway cart is broken. Solution: Buy a new a gateway cart, or stop using Gateway.

I'm pretty confident that the problem is with your SD card though.

Thank you so much!!! I had changed my SD card but my mSD card had remained the same.

So I copied all the contents out, formatted the mSD card and copied them all back and every single room loaded properly!
