I don't know if this is the correct subforum but, I have an old SD card the one that came with the o3ds, I used that for a while also downloading and installing games there, recently I changed that sd card with a 32GB one and also updated and formatted the system (To give it to someone but at the end I kept it). When I inserted the old one despite in the computer showing that I have things installed (around 1gb) the system doesn't seem to recognize anything in it and uses it as if it is empty. Can I do something?

The 32GB one was used when I downgraded the system and such but the sysnand auto-updated to 11.1

Since it's the same system shouldn't the software work?

If you want to remove all things from the old sd-card, even thing you cant see in explorer, then you can

1. Remove all partitions from the SD-card manualy
2. Use a SD-card formating tool that will create one partition with all available space.

This is because you formatted the system. Now it will only recognize save/game files in sd cards used after the format.

A format unlinks the nnid, so naturally any content (games/saves) linked to nnids is no longer valid for that system.

I see, and I assume there is no way to bypass that

Can I extract any info about the NNID I used before the format through the files left-over?

With an old nand? Yes. Without, not really.

Also the nnid afaik isn't the only issue, I was just using an example of why Nintendo would make old sd contents not work anymore.

It's system specific plus the encryption of it
The system is the same though

You mean a nand with the specific version of the sd card that was used?

I do have that but how can I use it?

Load hourglass9 by holding start at boot, and restore your nand backup using the sysnand backup/restore. Make a backup of your nand that you currently have first - in case you ever want to access it again.

How do you have a nand backup if you're on 11.1 with only soundhax?

Did you update on accident without a9lh?
