Hacking Duck Hunt won't load running CBHC

I just ran through the FlimFlam96 tutorial and I installed CBHC, all went well and I was able to install a normal Wii U game after following the Brazilian installer instructions.

I tried my first Vconsole game, Duck hunt using the same method I used for the Wii U game, WUP loader installed to a USB.

It gives me an error about suspending software and then my Wiimote loses sync and turn off.

Not sure what to do next, would appreciate any help.

I think duck hunt won't work with the brazilian method since you need a disk version for that. Use this to download and try to install it with the wup installer.

In my thread where I asked for help on hacking the Wii U for the first time, it was recommended that I don't do the redNAND, so I just went with CBHC , I hope that was a good decision.

yes its way easier and completly safe so you don't need to worry about that.

Not true. WUD extract (disk version) OR NUS download OR (if you use patches e.g. haxchi or mocha or rednand or simplesigpatcher) funkiiu with a fake title.tik. (note funkiiu is just one example, there are others).

If you download a game with a fake title you need to run patches before running the game. The so called "brazilian" method is just installing games to USB which can be done with ANY game if you have the files and the title.tik (real or fake).

If you got a nus game like duck hunt and change the ticket with the brazilien method it becomes invalid and should not even install or like here just throw a error. The brazilian method is changing the ticket to look like the disk version and then install it. Everything else are just fake tickets and require some sort of sig patches while a game installed with the brazilien method runs without any patches.

Semantics. The brazilian method is installing stuff to USB which is why its a shit name, the peeps on here on gbatemp realised how they did it by comparing the title.tik. But yeah, people for the sake of it like to call it the brazilian method. Whatever.

For this NUS game, there is no valid tik available so you can't change it using the "brazilian bullshit" method. You have to create a fake ticket e.g. using funkiiu. Patch system. Run WUP. Install to USB. Play.

Yes but op got a error after installing a only nus game following the Brazilian installer instructions which tells you to change the ticket. Since the big title works and the virtual console title gives the error this is most likely the problem.
This should be clear with my first answer since the rest is a discussion with someone else

I'll try and re-install in a few minutes and I'll let you know, in terms of all the ticket stuff, I didn't do that for any of the games I downloaded, I saw there was an option called "Open Ticket", but I didn't know what it did or how/when to use it.

WUP Installer is just really weird sometimes, its ESPECIALLY finicky with VC stuff. Give it a few more tries, Ive found renaming the folder you're installing to something short helps(like just rename it duck or something), and if worst comes to worst just re-download the game.

Also idk where you downloaded from but you should use Wii U USB Helper and link it to that title keys site
