Just cause I felt like it I looked at what you have to do to add in libiosuhax support for fast sd and usb access and it was quite a joke, added just a couple lines of code and it works perfectly fine already when I'm in CBHC, mocha or a newer iosuhax fw.img.

I just saw their response to the library read speed on Wii U, I didn't find it particularly encouraging for some reason, what the deuce do we do now? Are we forever stuck with the super slow folder read speed on Snes9x? What's weird is Genesis Plus, MAME, Nestopia, etc folders load almost instantly; Snes9x takes 30 seconds irrespective of the no. of ROMs in a folder. There hasn't been a Wii U GitHub change in a long while.
not sure why you have a problem with Snes9x I have over 150 snes roms in one folder and it takes about 8 seconds to load and my other folder has about another 40 snes games and takes about 2 seconds to load not sure why you have 30 seconds load time.

Pretty sure that won't be a problem anymore soon ;)

just as a demo for libiosuhax speed, here is my compiled build of snes9x, its based on whatever commit happened last week since I didnt update my code in a while but nothing new wiiu related was added anyways so yea:
https://mega.nz/#!koYEwAjB!RiTgYVXvWaCHJbiDRWo8YLkwiyHxlOHJ7F17_s2g8Vw
if you have cbhc, mocha or a newer fw.img just start that up and it should use it just fine and also allow fat32 usb just fine too.

Do I need CBHC, Mocha, etc? I don't have either installed though? I assume I can test it as is :P Will report back.

Hopefully it gets submitted to the main GitHub repository soon :D
Thank you ^_^

It was only the Snes9x core that did it, Genesis Plus, Gambatte, mGBA, Nestopia, all load instantly, but now with this test build, I assume that it will be submitted to the GitHub repository soon, hopefully.

if you have no CFW setup at all right now just launch mocha from the hbl and then re-enter the hbl and start this test rpx, thats all.

My bad, never used Mocha before, but I will now. So we load it in HBL, it goes back to the menu, then we load HBL again (I used Haxchi), or do we load Mii Maker to go to HBL after?
Load hbl then Moach then hbl then app. Doesn't matter what launch method for hbl. (If you use haxchi set the config to boot mocha on a key)

Regarding Haxchi, I initially installed it to NAND and uploaded the config file that way, so there's no config file for it on my SD card, if that makes sense. Unless of course, I can create a folder for that and have that one override it. I don't know. I'll just load HBL.

Use the haxchi app and make a folder called haxchi on the sd root. https://github.com/FIX94/haxchi/releases (Choose haxchi and not cbhc) Make a file named config.txt. Edit it how you want it. Boot haxchi app and select the ds vc to install haxchi over. That will update haxchi and the config.txt

Wait though, I already installed it over Brain Age, or whatever that game is called, you mean I need to do it all over again (update/install)? No idea how to update an already existing Haxchi channel. Eh, maybe later, perhaps, I'll test the Snes9x test build first, I don't even know what strings to put into the config text file. I'll test Snes9x libfat first though before I do that.

On the release page is a elf. You can boot it by booting the homebrew launcher with haxchi. Run it and choose Brain Age. It will update your haxchi install as well as config.txt and boot icons if you have any.

Interesting, so pretty much the only way to get the speed boost is to load Mocha every time? Do I have that right? Just making sure, and thank you ^_^
you will indeed need some CFW to be running in the background for this yea, personally I just have CBHC autoboot into system menu so for me a CFW is available at any time without ever having to touch anything.

I've yet to install that, mostly because I'm paranoid of bricking my machine and because I don't have the trust or confidence in myself to do it. IDK if I want to install CBHC yet or not, I don't even know the proper or safest way to set everything up. I dunno yet.

Download the cbhc zip from the haxchi release. Boot the elf in the zip. Select ds vc. It is close to impossible to brick.
