you know that internet-like system using satelite so you can use online function even where there is no wifi?
well would you be interrested in a nintendo membership for lte on switch?
ofc you would be able to do everything online, gaming, browsing, streaming, etc..
i was thinking about something like 20$/month for unlimitted data, ofc couldnt be offered in all country
after, some dont support lte at all...
so what do you think?

That would be one of the shit if not the most thing Nintendo could do with the switch.

Hell no. Not for a fucking game machine

thats about what people are ready to pay for ps plus and xbox live, no?
That's just consoles being consoles (pieces of shit). It's paying for multiplayer, not internet. That's like saying "what about data on your 3ds???". Do you really need to play an online match of smash on the go? Well make a hotspot with your phone.

this will probably fail like the 3G Vita (forgot that it existed?). who really wants to have a separate plan for their video game console, or pay more just to have the feature in their system? most people using 4G/LTE/whatever probably have smartphones and can just use tethering if they need to use internet elsewhere. or one of those hotspot devices that only does tethering.

I'd need to see a use-case for it. An always-online portable console may be interesting, but it depends on what it's used for. Online multiplayer is not really enough, unless one of the target markets is places where home internet is a luxray.

I would like this, it worked well on the Vita for me so I don't see why it won't with LTE on Switch. I just had a copy of my phone's SIM made by my carrier and put it in the Vita to use the same subscription on both devices, I don't know how it works in USA tho.

I can see LTE working well. Unlike the Vita which supported 3G which meant speeds were slow and you could only downloads were limited, a 4G/LTE device is something some people would be willing to use. But that's only talking about a small number of the market. The concept is tangible imo.
