Hello. Is there any software at all that lets you use Dexdrive with Windows 10? Every time I used it, it was on my Dell desktop that I got 14 years ago. It kept working this whole time until maybe 4 months ago. Now I have no way to transfer the saves on my memory card to my computer and vice versa. Could anyone make a compatible program so it works?

Or better yet, is there another device I could use to get my saves on my computer or transfer saves from my laptop to my memory card? Thanks.

there is a ps2 memory card "memor32" it's a 32 MB memory card with a usb port it has special drivers and a special manager i can't say for sure it works with windows 10... it worked with windows 7 (not sure if 32 bits or 64)
and it works well with ps2 games, but since you can't save ps1 games on a ps2 memory card.. i don't know if you can transfer from a ps1 memory card to a ps2 one, and memor32 will be able to backup ps1 saves...

PS: if that software you previously used doesn't work on windows 10,. you may try to use it in virtual machine, you know... downlaod a windows xp iso, install it on vmware\virtualbox..
it's the best solution for ancient stuff in nowadays systems...

If I did that would that get rid of Windows 10? I never heard of that before honestly.

No, a Virtual Machine is...well, just that, a virtual machine running on your already installed OS as it's own separate entity. It would create a "virtual hard disk" file on your PC which would act as it's own hard drive. If you're familiar with 3DS hacking, think of it as an emunand.

But I don't think that'd help your situation anyways, as I assume you can't use your new PC because it doesn't have a serial port (if I'm correct in assuming when you said your Dell PC stopped working you mean it died and can't be used). You could always get a serial to USB adapter and try that, however I'm not sure if the Dex software itself would support that (let alone support it in a VM).

You could also try the PS3 Memory Card adapter. It doesn't natively work with PC, however you can install a custom driver and, using a command line tool, can input/extract any PS1 saves.

I've been meaning to buy a PS3 adapter at some point so I guess I will try that. This is a stupid question, but if I installed the custom driver and command line tool, I could def copy saves to my PC and back? Does it work for PS2 games too? And could you tell me where I can download these?

Sorry, I'm clueless about this.

Both PS1 and PS2 should work.

As to links, I can't share them as they apparently contain copyrighted content (the original creator of them had his links taken down). Just google a bit for "PS3 memory card adapter PC" and eventually you should find a link to the drivers.

Ok, so since I need to save up for the PS3 adapter, I tried to install the Windows XP ISO so I could at least try using my DD...only for it to say that it only works with Windows 7.

So is it completely impossible to get XP on Windows 10 then? Or did I download an older version?

Erm...what is it exactly you're trying to do with the XP ISO? Did you install a Virtual Machine software, or did you just try using the installer on your desktop?

As mentioned, you need to use a VM to install it. Unless you're using some strange, broken VM it should work fine. Try installing VirtualBox and installing the ISO in that. It's very simple to use, so you shouldn't have any issues there.

Sorry, I'm extremely clueless on this and didn't know I needed to download that.

Thanks for the link and your help! I appreciate it :)

Hopefully I can figure this out.
