If you are really inclined, you could install TestMenu on an old3DS so you can screenshot in extended RAM games.

Then you can use my tool that was recently updated to work with TestMenu here (GitHub) to combine them into nice looking screenshots. It'll also work with NTR and HANS format screenshots. (Just put them all in the same folder and it'll figure it out)!

Depends if the OP wants to use tools from the SDK:unsure:

  • HANS: If you have no CFW and are stuck on 11.x, you can use HANS. However it won't work with extended memory mode titles nor titles that were PASLR'd (smealum is working on the latter).
  • TestMenu: Official Nintendo application. Part of the devfirm present on 3DS development unit. For whatever reason, retail units have a legit ticket for this title and so you can happily install it and run it (will need Luma3DS + UNITINFO patch + Config.cia). It's the best way to take screenshots on the 3DS, since it supports every single 3DS title.
  • NTRCFW: If you have CFW and don't want to use tools from Nintendo's SDK, which you probably don't own, then your best solution is NTRCFW. It works on all firmwares, however doesn't work with extended memory mode titles.

First download testmenu, devmenu, and config (To illegal to share). Turn on UNITINFO in luma options. Boot config and the select menu settings. Change Menu to Test Menu. Press power button to reboot. Open devmenu then your app (Or boot cart) and press home at screenshot part then L.

I unfortunately cannot say here because it requires stuff from the official Nintendo SDK. You'll need to search on some other sites for it.
Its fine to say how but you just can't link it.

Still can't get this test menu thingy to work, I thought it was the arm9 boot manager that interfered but I guess not. Using Luma 6.6

Sorry for necroposting but, can someone send me a private message with a Test Menu?
I have searched in the usual places and, or the web pages do not work or there is no download for that application

No. Not even in PMs is it allowed. Get the SDK and use it from there. Not sure if the right place is developer.nintendo.com but you need to install it.

Hello what is the solution in 2019?

I want to be able to take screenshot and able to share it from "upload and share app" (meaning I want to be able to see them in the camera app too).

Thank you.

if u have luma, you should be able to push L+Select+Down to take a screenshot,
then use the screenshot merger app from https://tinydb.eiphax.tech/
i dont know about an app that uploads pics to mainstream sites.

sorry for the confusion
i posted something then edited it,

my apologies for the random post..
