I also got that similar situation.
The difference was that NOTHING got present in my N3DS including the NNID.
I had to link manually the NNID. (Server-Side was confirmed to be transferred but auto linked NNID wasn't)

What about the DSiWare game? Was that moved over?

If not it was a bonked transfer, looks like Legends of Exidia is still up on EU. So you can get this if you can't re-download fieldrunners.

Basically when you select downgrade to 10.4 firm, it will ask you on screen to firm this choice I think by asking you to press start + select. That's it, once it says successful, move on to next step
