Hacking Delete DSI Ware?

I'm trying to do the dsiware method to put a9lh on my brand new n3ds using my other n3ds. but, after i did the system transfer it wants me to delete the dsiware save data.

Do you have a screenshot? You should be placing the hacked 3ds sd card in the non-hacked one after you backup the dsiware game to the sd card (it should prompt you while you do the transfer process)

yeah nvm that part. i fixed it. but now. how can i get onto homebrew? it doesnt seem to work.

So you should put the source 3ds' sd card in the target 3ds and then the steelhax game & fieldrunners will be there. If you've followed the guide correctly, booting the steel game will launch homebrew

If you followed plailect guide you should be able to get into homebrew using steeldiver subwars

Are you sure you've installed it before the system transfer on the source 3ds?

i reinstalled steeldriver from the shop from the redownloadable section onto the target just now. is there any other thing i can do?

Weird that it did not transfer over. You can't do anything about it anymore now, so i'd advise you to buy a homebrew-entry point gamecard, you can find a list of them in Plailect's guide you followed.

and i finished the guide. but i dont see any signs of the target having a9lh. i want all my things from my other n3ds to be on the target

You finished the guide without having homebrew? That's impossible. The system transfer does NOT transfer over the arm9loaderhax. It transfers the hacked fieldrunners save what allows you to downgrade your Nfirm, then downgrade to 9.2 using the homebrew launcher and then install a9lh. You can move your saves from source to target using Jk's save manager. Everything you need to know is in Plailects guide, just make sure to read it correctly.

Like i mentioned before, you need another homebrew entrypoint.

Well it seems like you missed a step or something, which is unfortunate. Are you sure putting the source sd card in the target 3ds doesnt show steelseries & the dsiware game? (check folders etc..)

If not your best bet is buying/borrowing Ocarina of Time and injecting a hacked save into that so you can then put it in the target 3ds and launch Homebrew that way, as per: https://plailect.github.io/Guide/homebrew-launcher-(no-browser)

alright, maybe i'll buy the zelda game for an entry point. it seems the most cheapest anyways

Yeah it definitely is, apparently the 'Nintendo Selects' versions are the cheapest
