Are people really still trying to play the leaks online? Any use of the leak is easily detectable. The version string in it does not match retail meaning it will still red flag regardless of having waited to use online. People who use early builds of games and such online deserve to be banned anyways. Cheating online and using pirated content online has always been a big no no and people whining about getting a ban for either should shut up and live with the consequence of your choice to ignore common sence and the warnings of the community.

That value is never sent to Nintendo. Since long time I've been playing lot of 3DS dumps from retail games i bought converted to CIAs and installed in my device, they all have version 0 and I'm still unbanned.

Can we please stop with all the false or unchecked information, made-up theories about red flags, version strings and generally things that have been disproved literally five posts before yours? It's already hard enough to find reliable info on this entire mess, don't make it even worse.

And? It's not impossible for the servers to be checking this info and its easily called on. Simply put since WE DONT KNOW EXACTLY WHATS SENT TO NINTENDO using anything that dosent appear as retail especially something obvious like version numbers and such. A ban is highly possible. Just because the games you converted don't seem to check against the server does not mean that that can't be changed. Sum it up using anything not legitly bought online is a good way to get banned and well deserved too.

Its rather easy to detect what all gets sent to nintendo, and i'm pretty sure there are enough people who knows exactly what is sent..
That you don't know what is beeing sent doesn't change this, so please talk for yourself instead of making stuff more confusing for others here.
Beside, its a bit hypocritical advocating that the ban is well deserved.. Like your not pirating stuff.
I'm not banned, have not been online with my LEGAL cardridge which i have a week already while living in the EU.. But your posts just cause more confusion here.

The post about been banned has been slightly disappearing, that means people aren't getting banned post 18 besides Europe, when this happens normally you see radom post about the ban and that's the problem, they try to give other explanation even it's still true if you were connected to the Nintendo servers in Pokemon moon and sun before it was officially release you may get banned.

Use your special eyes...

"Yes but not because of Pokemon"

Use your special eyes then. xD

He told "No, I haven't played Pokemon Sun/Moon at all yet". Not banned
(Anyway it does not make sense that you are here if you are not banned and you have not played the pokemon.
It's as if you want to add "No, I do not have 3ds"...

Talking about my.
Im not banned, I played leak moon since day 1 with wifi allways On but i didnt play Online yet
(Then i cant vote, There is no right choice in reality)

When exactly where you banned?
When the first ban-wave happened.
When I got home, I tested to see if I got hit with it by attempting to play Mario Kart 7 (Retail Cart) online. Got the error message. Then attempted to connect to Miiverse, go the other error message.

I haven't been banned, and I was Wonder Trading a few hours before the local midnight release (although the seeds were already on the NA eShop). Does that count? :P
