As the title says really... Any tips for getting games to load successfully?

I have only been able to get Mario Maker to load 100% so far.

Minecraft crashes at Mojang screen.
Tank! Tank! Tank! gets a black screen.
Captain Toad gets a black screen.

Im getting 90% success launching loadiine, its just the games are not loading for me. Ive checked the compatibility list and the games should work.

Using an Sandisk Extreme Class 10 UHS 1 32GB SD card, Loadiine GX2 latest build.

Should i be changing settings in loadiines loading mode?

Same boat. I'm on a pal console, tried the same games with the same results, 128gb class 10 uhs 1 card.

I have a 64 GB SDXC with a PAL cosole and everything I tried works perfectly.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker - Works flawlessly (Sometimes freezes on the Level Select, but only for a few seconds.)
Minecraft - Works, but needs an NNID-less profile in order to do so.
New SUPER MARIO BROS. U - Works flawlessly.

I have all those games and they all work with loadiine. Check your dumps to make sure they are good. Make sure you're using an SD card that is formatted to fat32 with 64k clusters size. Make sure you're using latest loadiine. I can't think of anything else.

I've updated to the latest loadiine nightly build, but for the life of me I can't get the US version of New Super Mario Bros. U to load.

I'm not exactly sure how to check if my dumps are good, but I used Uwizard to convert them into usable format and made sure the titleID was correct. The game loads from loadiine, there's a tiny blue yoshi that pops up and then it talks about spotpass and what controllers I can use. After I go past all those prompts...nothing. The screen stays black and doesn't respond.

If it helps, my WiiU FW is 5.4.0 U

I'm using a 256GB SD card, not sure on cluster size but nearly every other game runs fine and the compatibility list shows New Super Mario Bros U as working fine. I wasn't able to get it to work months ago and still can't, not sure what the deal is and it's super frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

please just use rendnand m8
I was under the impression that rednand wasn't foolproof or entirely "safe" yet, as per some of the warnings people have been giving.

Sorry about the bump, didn't realize how old of a thread this was! Though, to be fair it seems better to bump than to make a new thread entirely.

Wow girl... update your Wii U(while you easily can with internet connection).
There's absolutely no backlash from doing that, and 5.5.1 is the most compatible with the recently developed hax's.^_^
When Ninty releases BOTW, they will surely release it with a new update...

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I can't get the US version of New Super Mario Bros. U to load.
For your problem: have you tried redownloading it? Or trying another persons dump? Could be some wrong/missing files...

So it's 100% that if I undo the TubeDNS it'll update to 5.5.1 only and won't risk breaking what I've already got? Just worried that updating will cause me to lose what Homebrew I've got. Also, have absolutely no idea what BOTW is, would you mind explaining?

As to redownloading, yep! I've tried redownloading and it did the same thing. The places I used to go to (back in April of this year) are basically gone now, so it's an annoying slog to find any other hosts that aren't shady and/or riddled with malware of some sort. Surprisingly torrents are almost all a bust. Anyways, haven't been able to try a different one yet, I was using the ARPE01 (USA version iirc) and so I figured I should probably give the EUR version a go if I can ever find it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll probably get on updating as soon as I can confirm I'm not going to make my WiiU useless!

Yes it's perfectly safe to update (now), rather it's advised.
BOTW: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.
Look for "that iso site" for the dumps. That's where I got mine's back then.

Thanks, I'll pull the DNS tonight and online update, hopefully that'll fix some stuff! Still not sure what "that iso site" is but it's okay, I don't want to break any rules and definitely don't want anybody in trouble for mentioning it more. I truly appreciate all the help!

when you type in "that iso site" into google it's the first result just change the letters before the three letters and .com to wiiu (it's really hard to explain when gbatemp has a antipiracy policy)

this post could potentially be removed

RedNAND is actually safer than sysnand, all it is is making a copy of nand and loading it. The only risk is

a. user is dumb and installs sysCFG on sysNAND = brick
b. something fails during nand dump = redo the dump, no risk.

That's so weird! I had it bookmarked but all the bookmarks were all screwy I thought it went down. Thank you so much!

I'll be the first to admit that I can be a little ditsy at times and make a simple mistake. I dunno, just makes me super nervous that I could make a slight mistake and brick a console I don't have the money to replace. Still, thank you for the info, the warning thread made it seem a lot more dangerous than that!

I'm presently trying to update online, removed the DNS setting so it'll auto-obtain but it's throwing a 108-0084 code, which I assume might be because their servers are busy. At least that's what googling the problem suggested, especially since the DNS setting is removed.

All you have to do if you dont want to brick is not mess with the system config tool. default rednand is VERY safe, and if anything happens, worst case is you brick your redNAND and have to re-dump, nothing can happen to the console itself.
