If you swap a motherboard, do you keep your games/data?

It's like a brand new console, so you'll have to reinstall everything I believe. But of course with CFW you can make your own backups to reinstall later, back up your saves, themes, etc.

You can bring your NNID over to it and you'll be able to access the eShop and redownload everything on your account that you own. If you've never used the eShop it's a mostly worthless endeavor, you could just swap the mobo and start from scratch.

it was from a dead 3DS (luckly I have a nand backup from A9LH setup) so, no problems with that. Yes i do have the same FC for some reason

An update for mobo switchers: I gave a call to Nintendo, asking to unlink my NNID from my current 3DS so I can link it to a new one. It looks like you can't just have them unlink it and then link it yourself afterwards. You have to have the new "system" (mobo) up and running already so they can unlink and re-link in a single swoop. So make sure you keep your original serial numbers, and then use decrypt9 or something to get the serial number from the new mobo. Then when you have both serial numbers it should be easy peasy to transfer your NNID.

Does shifting movable.sed from an unbanned unit to banned unit cause any kind of changes?

I am just going to purchase a new 3ds tonight for use online. I may try the unban thing if after 15 days my Main isn't unbanned. But like many I do not play 3DS online much and when I do it is on Pokemon. So purchasing a cheap system to basically battle and trade online doesn't bother me in the least. My NNID isn't banned so if i really wanted to I could call Nintendo to transfer it to my new system I am buying tonight. I just am worried about all the content that I purchased. I don't want to lose it.

Just tell them your 3DS is dead, won't turn on, whatever, and that you can't get into it to do the system transfer yourself and that you need them to transfer your NNID to a new 3DS.

However, it's most likely your console that's banned, so even if you get rid of your NNID and make a new NNID you'll still be banned.
