If it was a MAC ban, then why would swapping/deleting files change anything? Unless you're referring exclusively to the 022 ban
Yeah I'm primarily concerned about 022 (because dsi downgrade still) I legit just want eshop access tbh but if it's not mac adress for NN/eshop ban that sucks or means we could fix it no?

My bank worked before I got the 002. It was working fine when I just had the 022. It was weird, I signed into Pokemon to check my ban status and got the error message, just thought it was a communication error. Loaded my Pokebank, which loaded fine. Didn't take anything out and just turned off my DS. When I opened it again, I got the 002 everytime again. it was like I had a TINY window of escape and chose to stay Lol.

actually if you were to attempt to withdraw or deposit,
it'll attempt to connect then kick you out with a 022-2812

As far as I can see, those mainboards comes from US with Ver.9.2.0

Super neato, so it's basically prime CFW material. One more question if you have the answer: would he have to call Nintendo to unlink his NNID from the console first before replacing the motherboard, so he could then re-link it after? IIRC replacing the motherboard is basically the same as getting a new console entirely, so I assume you need to unlink the NNID first, but just trying to get as much info before I get it ordered.

If it's something a CFW could get around; a MAC address block would make the most sense; unless they program the Serial to be published in every packet it transmits, that's the only thing that would tie a console to a person

Ah. My bad, I thought you were speaking about the 002 ban.
And yes, you are right.

Having networking experience, it wouldn't make sense to transmit serial with every packet.

Installing a new WiFi card wont reverse a ban that has no correlation to that hardware. Traiver gave us the best (only) option as of right now to just replace the motherboard, or buy another DS. A used 2DS is like $40, the motherboard is $65+tax and I'm not sure how much the Wi-Fi card alone would be but we have options. Pick your poison.

So uh swap wifi card to avoid 022 possibly? That'd be pretty nifty if so. Though where the hell does one get a loose 03ds wifi card?

Still, it has to read the serial from somewhere,
so we decrypt9 swap it or NTR swap it.

Also, reported the troll. I advise we all do the same.
Not going to feed the beast any longer.

He can do that before or after, doesn't matter, but calling them is needed to unlink the NNID.

Wifi cards are at most 20 for a NonAC card, but is the wifi on the main board or not?

Leave the guy to his Gogoats.

Anyone tried contacting Nintendo Japan? It's 1:30AM there so probably no answer for a few hours, but can't hurt to put a few e-mails in their inboxes.
