Do we know if anyone got the 2812 error if they owned the game legit? If so, then that error has a higher likelihood of being temp or lifted
"Legit" users (early game carts) did also get banned, yes. A few people have also claimed that Nintendo told them over the phone that the bans ARE permanent. No proof on the 2nd part, but a few people have said the same thing.

Nintendo employees did so and someone in this forum did so but I didn't catch a code I'm sure someone here did

Banned for playing with a legit copy because you got it early? Way to drive away customers Nintendo.

If you haven't been banned uninstall the ticket and game either eShop predownload or cart leak, backup save and then re-install when it's on eShop after people confirmed its safe to go online without bans :) by then maybe there will be a "cure"

Not a single ban from those with wifi on.
By safe I meant you are not banned. I stated to delete and back the saves of the games.

I was have been playing other games online with the leaked cia's installed both before and after the ban wave. Been playing MK7 online today, cia's still installed. No ban. My theory on the people that didn't go online, but got banned, is it MIGHT either be the eShop, or having the WiFi on while in sleep mode, or having the option to show friends what game you are playing turned on in the friends list settings. I didn't use / do any of those 3 things. My reasoning is that the version is edited to be version 0, and some people have reported an update showing up for the games. I think being in sleep mode with WiFi on, possibly even highlighting the title for too long with WiFi on, or entering the eShop with the title installed might be what did it, when it checked for updates for an unreleased title. Again though, just a theory.

I am not banned yet

@MadMageKefka I think this may be the case. Hopefully it's a 15-day ban, or there's some way for me to remove the ban. (I have an un-banned old 3DS)

@MichMaster
I recommend doing the following:
1)DO NOT have your WI-FI on, AT ALL
2)When the proper dumps come out, delete Sun and Moon and re-install them via the proper dumps (perfectly from Freeshop)
3)If you have a NAND backup of a time before you installed Sun and Moon, restore that backup, this should-in theory-remove all traces if you ever playing Sun and Moon.

I do not know if importing a save from the old copy of Sun and Moon could get you banned. If you wan't to be completely safe, start over.

If you want to be %100 safe, either buy the physical or digital copies of the game when they release on the 18th (or 23rd if you're in Europe)

You know what, even better do this, uninstall said games and ticket, wait for the actual pre-installed versions to be dumped into .cia format, you should in theory be even safer?

Stores aren't allowed to sell it early and people given copies for reviewing or whatever were told not to go online with them.
Thus there own fault lol.
Maybe. Still just kind of screwy at the moment. Too much speculation everywhere with no facts other than there are currently bans.

So if i can log in into miiverse with my NNID it could be a 15-day ban?, on game i can't do nothing, drops me 102 and 22XX eshop error, but with the NNID i can log in fine into the www.miiverse.com, to ride on 102 error, anyone have the steps to do this, i actually have a second 3ds untouchedjust with a9lh

Has nothing to do with cias even if the version code was changed it made it bad for us owning it yes but everyone was told delete it and send there save to jksm or sdf too also wait for it too be on freeshop or ciangel wait for launch and Start it up after that

Well, if anyone who has a legit copy has 2812 error when opening eShop, that is a big deal. That's the one that is rumored to be permaban, and if it is, that doesn't seem right. People will start complaining they were permabanned for getting the game a few days early (completely legal)
