The other day I found out that you can install install a game with fake ticket including dlc, so I went ahead and installed Fatal Frame, I thought "downloading with my PC is faster than with the WII U" so I downloaded thru Wii U USB Helper and installed with iosuhax and wupinstallerd mod y, game installed fine... but after that I was like "why don't I just download it from eShop so I don't have to put this game on the patched games folder? Is free to start anyways.. better to have it legit..."

So I went ahead and deleted the game.. turn off the console, went to eShop downloaded the game... and here is the problem:

The game downloaded just fine.. but it can't install., re tried like 7 times, it always says error when tries to install.

So I'm guessing the fake title stays with the console and won't allow to install that game from eShop after you installed it with wupinstaller....

What are you thoughts?

I think 3DS had the same problem. You need a way to uninstall tickets, which might be possible simply by deleting tickets from the /slc/rights folder but I wouldn't try it

Yes the tickets definitely stay.
Once installed, you can uninstall a game, then corrupt the title.tik or title.cert in the install folder and it will still install.

someone tried to delete an installed ticket from redNAND, and see if eshop can download the game officially?

or the contrary, someone with a legally bought eshop title, try install the disc version (it shouldn't work, based on Huma report as they are different tickets) so uninstall the eshop version (keep a backup) and install disc version with wup installer?

Well, I guess now is not Unknown anymore, that is what happens lol

I had the legally bought game, deleted long time ago, now I installed the game with the dlc on fw.img and installs fine, deleted that one... and tried to install the original game from eShop and that is the one that wont install no matter what I do. D:

so, this is what you did ?
sorry, but to me it's still unclear due to lot of possibilities users can do.

1. official eshop to SysNAND (tied to your console), and delete the game (the NAND still has that official ticket).
2. make a NAND dump
3. format sysNAND or not?
4. install disc based ticket or forged ticket for the game? installed on EmuNAND or USB while being in sysNAND? if you installed while being in redNAND, then sysNAND still has your clean eshop ticket.
5. install someone else DLC ticket or forged ticket for DLC ? installed on NAND copy too because it requires signature patch.
6. deleted the game on redNAND (or usb?). ticket still installed on redNAND. I still don't know if it's a disc legit ticket or a forged one with bad values.
7. try to download the game from eShop directly to redNAND or sysNAND ? I suppose redNAND, the one with the ticket installed with WUP installer, though it shouldn't have replaced it.

what I don't know or understand : was your official ticket replaced with the disc one when you installed the game with WUP installer? or did it used your already installed ticket? (someone reported that you could corrupt your title.tik in the sd:/install/ folder if you already had the ticket installed and it still install fine)

I think my official ticked was replaced with the fake one for both DLC and Game installed on sysNAND with signature patches... so must be that.

strange that it can be replaced with WUP installer, but not replaced again with eShop.
I guess eShop does not re-provide the ticket if it's already present.
when you installed the game with WUP installer, you probably re-provided it and it replaced it.

that's what I think is happening. We should need more test to know if WUP installer can work without a title.tik at all if the ticket is already present on the console.
unless WUP installer will check if the tik is present on the SD before hooking to the official install function.

Maybe you could try to forge a ticket again !
make a forged ticket, edit it manually to add your consoleID in it. install the game again with WUP installer, it should force a ticket overwrite.
delete the game, try downloading it from eshop again. this time the ticket will be tied to your console ID, maybe that's what eShop are checking?
it shouldn't check the signature, as there's signature patch applied to redNAND, so I see that possibility. I don't know if redNAND is patching both sign check and consoleID check. it works with a forged ticket and a bad consoleID, so I don't know why it would check it when the internal installer function is not run from WUP installer.

Dunno if this can be useful but i deleted some .tik form my real nand but they reappeared as soon as i connect my wiiu to the eshop so purchases are (as it should be) stored at nintendo side also.

yes, the purchase info is stored on nintendo's server. installing ticket doesn't mark the game as bought.
if you format your console, you can re-download bought games. (it worked like this on the Wii too, you have to unlink the console and the eshop before selling it to prevent the buyer from downloading your already bought games).

But if you delete the ticket and eShop re-generate it, then I guess it should fix Huma issue.

You just connected to eshop without downloading the deleted titles?

So it's just like the wads on the Wii. I have installed a virtual console game as a wad on my old Wii, deleted it and tried to have it legit, buy it from the Wii Shop but never downloads, saying there is a error. I send a email to Nintendo and they removed one of the titles I downloaded from the Wii Shop (Everybody Vote Channel I think? One of the free channels). After that I can download and install the VC game, don't know what happened. Years after I discovered the AnyTitlteDeleter and of curiosity checked my systems titles, there I found SERVERAL titles installed, even after I removed all the wad games. Just like the Wii, the Wii U must store all the titles we install despite deleting the game after, leaving a lot of traces of hacking on the system (all this titles is modded, none of the is true legit). I installed the disc games I have and can play them normally on the disc and the HD drive, but don't tried to buy them from eShop, so the same thing probably will happen again if I brought it, error and not install because of the titles modded on the console. Sadly, like the Wii, once you go this route there's no way to "clean" your console of what you done, don't know if the tickets stays even after formating it...

Well, I think it's just like with the PC.
Everything you did, installed, downloaded on it can be traced back even if you "permanently" deleted it.
Just like bad life choices.... they can always haunt you back.;)
