Homebrew Other ways to use homebrew.

So Im new to all of this. I know how to hack using menuhax, but that is it. I dont know what CIA or CWF files are.

I play ACNL and Im just wondering how I can hack other than menuhax and using OoT3dHax. I have OoT, but its the digital version do thats a no go. What other ways are there?

what fw version are you on 11.0? you could install the hax for steel diver or pokemon super mystery dungeon

It does, but because you can't hack it via Powersaves or another 3DS it's unless on recent system versions.

if the Catapus got Menuhax then he could use Oothax installer from starterkit
And yes I once tried with eshop version it worked, you just need to remove save from it.

If he's on the 11.0 or higher he won't be able to use the installer because of PASLR.

Menuhax 3.x works on 11.0.

I have menuhax installed on 10.3 and I use it only for the Regio Lock Bypass.

Is there a way to keep menuhax and update the FW so I can get the recent code pokémon distributions, as well as download Sun/Moon demo?

Not without installing CFW. However, you can use ctr-httpwn to bypass system update checks for the eShop and online functions of games.
