So... fucking Windows 10.
It's been molesting with it's automatic updates.
Two days ago, it attempted to Update again, so I went to Services->Windows Update->Disabled.
I do these steps each day, since it "resets", and thus, everyday is molesting.
BUT I've noticed that my lap is slower since I forced it not to Update to it's latest update.

Does anyone else has experienced slower performance for not updating?

I reckon reading somewhere that Windows 7 users had this problem, where Windows sent garbage to their hard drives in order to make the OS slower, thus, forcing the user to update their version of Windows to 8 or 10 in order to get rid of the garbage files.

My Lap Specs:
Processer: Intel Pentium N3700 1.60GHz
RAM: 4GB
HD: 500GB (from which I've used barely 100GB, so lots of free space)
OS: Windows 10 updated to disgusting Anniversary Edition.

Nah. I have not experience any delays or such.
I've updated my Windows 10, and it's still running fine. Even before that, it was not slow.

Specs:
Processor: Intel Core i3-5005U 2.00GHz
RAM: 8GB
HD: 500 (around 450 used. No slowness whatsoever)
OS: Windows 10, updated to the latest version

No, it seems fine to me. I set my internet connection as a "metered connection" because of the non stop automatic updates. A couple times, it made me restart in the middle of a dota2 game.

When I've disabled wupdate and signed out of an MSA, it seems to boot slower for some reason. But this is exactly why I prefer using Gnu/Linux

Surprised at the lack of "This is exactly why you should use Linux" comments.
Anyway, I've never had an issue with updates on or off.

Ha, yes that's surprising.
My lap is not to a point where I can't work with it. But still bugs me sometimes Like... not responding If I close my lap because I have to attend something else. Or suddenly hearing a "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" for 2 or 3 secs when watching a vid or when listening music.

Well, yes. I know it's weakness.
I bought this lap because was the only one with Touchscreen.
You see, I'm a digital painter, so is very helpful when using things like Gimp or Photoshop. And since I wanted this lap JUST for that, I didn't bothered with having a "powerful" system.
Heck, the guy who was selling me this lap, thought that it had 2GB of RAM, so they game a 30% discount.

EDIT: Headding off here. Such a distraction when you're trying to study.
Discuss whatever you want to discuss.
Also, thanks for clearing that doubt. Greetings.

That's a bit condescending to say. I do remember when I was that type of person, and would rather spew "this is why you should use gnu/linux" instead of helping the person out.

That sound is usually indicative of the HDD choking on the IO queue, often because the laptop decided to dump some of its memory into the pagefile. It's one of the reasons I started upgrading everybody's laptops to SSDs.

so just update your computer oO
if you are not in the fast rig you should get "working" updates that won't kill your computer ^^V

If you won't update it is like not taking any vaccine
