Hacking Creating unlinked emunand on A9LH?

Sweet 8 lbs 6 oz newborn baby Jesus!!! I've finished Plailect's guide safely and am now on to A9LH world!

I A9LH a new n3DS and system transferred from my o3DS.

I wanted to set up an emunand so that I can experiment with the whole modding scene and keep my sysnand as clean as possible.

Once I use decypt9 or emunand9 to setup the emunand can I do the following:
1) Can I re-inject my pre-A9LH nand dump from 9.2 ctr transfer downgrade (this was not linked to my NNID) into emunand?
2) Will #1 end up with an unlinked sysnand + emunand?

Since I'm injecting a pre-A9LH into emunand, will this work? Do I need to modify it? Can this brick my sysnand?

I basically want to end up with a sysnand linked to my NNID, and a emunand to play around with.

Thx, I will format my emunand. Although when I compare the Nintendo 3ds folders they are different between my A9LH nand dump and my pre-A9LH dump because I system transferred after the A9LH install.

That's the only reason I thought they would be unlinked, since the nand I'm injecting was not connected to my NNID.

Also to be safe, since I'm injecting a pre-A9LH into emunand, will this work? Do I need to modify it? Can this brick my sysnand?

Did you previously before a9lh have an unlinked emunand? That would cause the two folder in the Nintdndo 3ds folder.

Your system will be fine, all you have to do is restore the sysnand backup to emunand, your system will be fine and still have a9lh.

No, but my nand backup is before the system transfer from o3ds to new3ds. When I did sys transfer it changed the Nintendo 3DS folder.

Oh, you can't use that nand backup, old doesn't work on new, and new doesn't work on old. Nand backups only work on that system.

Sorry, my nand backup is from the n3DS prior to the system transfer from o3DS to n3DS. I also backed up the SD cards, and after the sys transfer, the Nintendo 3DS folder in the n3DS was overwritten and the alpha numeric name changed.

as long as the backup is from the same system, you can use that backup

thx, just tested and it worked. NANDs were already un-linked since one had the system transfer and the other did not. Updating emunand now, thanks for answering the questions!
