Guys I really wish to buy one of the relaunched japanese 2DS units

Could someone please tell me if they are 10.7 or under.

There has to be a way. Please help kind souls of GBATEMP

Can you please be more specific on which 2DS you are talking about? And why not get a N3DS instead?

Hi thank you for your response m8

I'm talking about the FTR-S-BCAA model

I don't wish to get the N3DS or N3DS XL solely because the 2DS has a more retro look. I also find it a grippier more comfortable device. Yes the super stable 3D is gone for me. but that's okay..

If you're planning on hacking your 3DS, you are really going to regret not getting a N3DS. Especially if you have the budget to do so. With a N3DS you can play PSX games at a decent fps and pretty much anything that came before that at 60fps. A 2DS will barely be able to play GBA games at full speed. The aesthetic isn't worth it.

But what about the firmware for the FTR-S-BCAA 2DS model?:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Stop trying to sell the N3DS to me you shady insurance guy

Well, if it's a relaunch, it might be above 10.7, probably 11.0.
We can't just do magic and get the firmware without seeing it : p

Get a old MK7 bundle, most of them come with 6.x.
(tho mine was 10.6)

Psx on decent speed? On n3ds? WHERE??

its called loading the correct bios and setting the config file properly.
Please share yr knowledge with me. I wanna play crash bandicot/ crash bash on my n3ds. If its possible on good fps (15 isnt good lol) with audio (preferably) then I'll be in yr debt for life lol

RTM. Go to the retroarch thread and read the instructions for setting up psx.

No, there is no way to fully know the firmware of a sealed unit.

If the system was manufactured prior to 10.7 (manufacturer date on the box usually) then you'd know for use. Otherwise there is no way to fully know without turning it on.

If you know the serial number of the actual unit you can work out what firmware its on.
