after almost all my games crashing using USB Loader gx, i decided i wanted to try a different Loader to see if it would make a difference. however after installing Wiiflow i tried loading a game, and it kicks me back to the home vWii menu. No matter what wii game i play it kicks me back to the menu. with USB Loader gx some games ran but most crashed with either freezing or 'Reading Disc...' Error

can anyone assist me figuring this out, Thanks in advance

yes i have, i followed it bit by bit 'missed the bootice part' but everything else i followed and done to vWii

edit: i prefer USB Loader GX, but it crashes randomly on games

You should go back and format your HDD exactly as specified in the bootice section. The games that crash, are they Wii only, GameCube only or both crashing?

That could definitely be the issue. If you haven't already, go ahead and try that part again. You want 249 to be a modified 56, 250 to be a modified 57 and 251 to be a modified 58. Let us know if that helps!

that's strange that reinstalling the proper base (56 and 57) didn't help.
using IOS58 as base is not recommened and is probably why he had issues. lot of games don't work with 58.

are you sure you now have the correct base?
After installing each base in different slot, did you change the "slot" used by the game? you should choose slot249 or 250 in USBLoaderGX's settings>game's IOS.
did you run syscheck to verify what you currently have installed?

Those settings and IOS all seem correct. Are you using an older version of syscheck, I'm not used to that format. Either way, you should be golden. Just let us know how the reformatting and game re-dumping goes, let us know if that solves it.

i think i am using an older version, i had that version from my old wiil and cannot find a updated one 'wanted to find one quickly to post results faster'.

as for the reformatting and redumping, it seems that the crashing in games have stopped 'Just dance 1, 2, 3, 4, scarface, punchout. but now im getting a disc reading error on just dance 2014, 2015, 2016 which im sure are unrelated to the Cios correct?

you have an external HDD, or an USB flashdrive ?
flashdrives (usb sticks, etc.) are known to have issues with Wii and vWii, even nintendo says on their website to not use them. (probably because of the write issue on flash, but still not recommended)

ok after re dumping 5 games over 3 times, reformatting the hdd so many times, and reinstalling the Cios over and over again, it seems the problem all along........ Was my Y cable for my hard drive. it seems the male USB part that helps power the HDD was messed up, so it was only powering the HDD through one cable, so after i have spliced the cable and repaired the damaged part i plugged it in and finally there was no more crashes on games anymore.

thank you both @CJB100 and @Cyan for helping me with all of this, i really appreciate it
