Hello, so I currently have a 2DS with Emu 11.1.0-34U and a n3dsxl with Ver. 11.1.0-34U

My new 3dsxl has my NNID linked to it. What I want to do with it is unlink my NNID on my N3DSXL and put it on my 2DS with Emu (CFW). Then I would want to do the fieldrunners downgrade by transferring the data from my 2DS CFW over to my N3DSXL on stock firmware, then being able to do the downgrade and still have my NNID available on my N3DSXL via system transfer.

Is it possible?

No, this is not possible. When you unlink a NNID, you an only link it to the system it was on, meaning you can't link it on your 2DS. You can only transfer NNIDs through system transfer only, which you can't transfer to a 2DS from a n3DSXL. To do a system transfer to the n3DSXL, you'd have to do a system format to unlink the NNID then do the system transfer.

You're asking for the impossible.

So can I format my n3dsxl and then link my NNID to my Emu 2ds and do a system transfer?

No. Did you skip over the line where I said, and I quote: "When you unlink a NNID, you can only link it to the system it was on, meaning you can't link it on your 2DS"? That means you can only link it to your n3DSXL. :/

is formatting the same thing as unlinking then?

Without unlinking the NNID from the n3dsxl, can I do a system transfer from my 2ds to my n3dsxl and then the NNID could be linked to the n3dsxl?
No. From here: "If the target system already has a Nintendo Network ID registered on it, you will be unable perform a system transfer." And from here: "You cannot perform a system transfer if the target system has a Nintendo Network ID linked. You must format the target system to remove the Nintendo Network ID link prior to transferring content."

so I can format the n3dsxl removing NNID, transfer 2DS to n3dsxl and then link the NNID to the n3dsxl?
